Just returned our gateway this am. After a big outage earlier this week, this AM we woke to no internet. Tmo pushed an update to our gateway and bricked it. Our billing cycle starts on the 20th. Today is the 21st, they said they will cancel it next bill cycle - $46.45/mo for a service that barely worked and now I owe an extra month for a service I can't even use. Before the outage and before they bricked our gateway, it was pretty rough to use it. We could see speeds in the 70mpbs range at most, but it would drop and doing a zoom call across it was not feasible.

Did this last year for a free 43" Fire TV and fought them for 6 months and never got the TV rebate I followed all rules on. Be careful

A 4 series 43" is more of the "current" model, while they still sell the 2 series for ~80$ less at 150$. Just a general idea on value / recency of what you are getting.

Pretty sure it was $200 for activating, not even 2 months ago. So somehow $150 is a deal?

Supposed after 90 days they would email you an Amazon unique single use promo code to redeem a TV from Amazon. Never received that email. I had to reached out to Tmobile customer service to get the promo code.

I'm in the Houston area and wanted to comment that during the last hurricane Tmobile was the only internet service that stayed up in our area. Xfinity was down for weeks in some cases. Speeds are decent (about 300-400mbps) but latency for gaming isn't ideal. We recently got fiber internet which is obviously faster but I'm still keeping the Tmobile service as a backup since we got it locked in at a $25/mo promo a while back.

For those who never got their promised TV promotion, try message T-Mobile on Facebook. I wasn't getting any luck with the phone representative but the FB representative sent me a code for the TV.

I wanted to use TMHI so bad, considering the price vs our local ISP, but with dual NAT and significant ping, we couldn't use it.

However, if you just use the internet for shows, movies, social media… it's great.

Anything that requires low ping, like multiplayer games, it's not going to be a good time.

This is perfect advice everyone!

I gave this a try this morning and it worked. Although they couldn't give me a TV code, they were able to comp my bill of $135 for next month. Not quite the value of the TV, but close and more than I thought I'd ever receive almost a year after originally pusuing the offer.

Definitely worth a shot. You may be able to get more than $135 if your mo they bill is higher.

I am moving to a new home and am thinking of trying this out as an existing T-Mobile cellphone customer. My price is $35 a month for internet unlimited and $50 for Plus. I would like to use eero Pro 6E mesh wifi system with the home Internet plan unlimited. Would this work with the home internet plan? What exactly is needed from a step up perspective?

I called and asked for the G4AR with the $35 plan and purchased the eero mech that was on sale in another thread for $279. Was able to get the TV and 150 gift card so hopefully they both come. If so today has been a slick deal kinda day!

Any idea what the QCI priority for home internet is?
I tried it 2 years ago at my home in SoCal. With almost full bars I was getting half the speeds of my Mint Mobile phone, which runs on T-Mobile towers. I'd say it's the lowest priority indeed.

Not available, although 5G alround. Just oversold already. T-Mobile sucks.
