No deal. $400 at most, even with the included controller.

Mainly because the controller usually goes for $40-$50 by itself around black Friday.

I would not rely on the photo alone, as there are occasional errors in posting wrong image.
But it also lists the items as: Model 1000039671+1000039935
These are the Model numbers for PlayStation 5 Slim Console(with Drive) and PS5 DualSense Wireless Controller White.

I can see this 399 with a game Black Friday. Anything over that is not a deal for Black Friday. Seems like Black Friday will not be great this year.

As I said, $425 seems to be the price for the disk version. But I don't see one with a free game. A few retailers seem to have the digital version with NBA 2K25 (which is practically worthless imo). I'm not sure if that's a BF promo or just a bundle stores already have that's included with the Sony official sale. So far, I haven't seen it being promoted as a BF deal specifically (although not all ads are out), so I'm leaning towards the latter. I saw the Fortnite bundle, but didn't include that in determining what I said since it's just free cosmetics and not a game.

Dell has it for 424 with some Fortnite virtual stuff and only one controller, not bad if you can do the $50 off from amex but wondering if there will be something better. $375 plus 6% back on dell rewards

Agree nice to have 2 controllers. However I have more than 500 hrs on my Ps5 and launch controllers and have not experienced this. Longest sessions ~4 hours for reference. If playing longer, take a break and get some fresh air. Regardless haven't had issue with charge on either controller.

Right now their black friday pricing is $549 CDN ($391 USD). There is also some talk they'll be doing "tax free" shopping from Dec 14-Feb 15 2025 so your OOD price is $391.

Of course, customs/duties exemption is dependent on certain factors, but can be a non-issue if you're visiting for a weekend.

This will be the first PlayStation console I've skipped mainly since the price and lack of interest in exclusives. I didn't buy a ps3 until around 2013 and a ps4 or around 2017 so I usually wait.and got both at decent discounts.

Is the ps5 worth it to you? I mainly got the ps4 pro originally for last of us, uncharted and mlb the show games. No new versions of those first two games are being made anytime soon and can play mlb on any consoles now. I do have series x game pass ultimate and switch for my gaming needs
