The same can happen with in store, suppose if you dont get an email and there is glitch, then we may have to wait for longer. The entire curx of this deal is that it makes it lucrative with giftcard.
How does one save $1500?, they only give you $500 max for 16 pro etc. and for trade in you are not going to get more than 300 etc. Do they mean to say if you get multiple lines and each one gives you 400/500 gift then I can see it would add up to $1500 but you are not going to get $1500 off on one line. correct?

If you're trying to get a Verizon phone, payoff device, cancel plan asap and get the Auto Unlock at 60 days, doing it in store is the safer choice. If there's any delay in processing or shipping at all you may not get it in time to cancel under the 3 days limit to get activation fee reversed.
If you don't care to cancel, or don't mind it costing an extra $30 just to avoid the hassle of the store, then you can certainly try online option.
