I just followed the wiki, you need the phone number and pin to create Verizon account (after it ships).

*** How to pay off with credit card ***
Establish a Verizon account
Go to Account, Bill, Payment methods
Add a credit card
From a NON Verizon phone, call 800-837-4966
Enter the phone number for the line you want to pay off
Tell the robo attendant "pay off device"
Robo attendant will confirm the payoff amount and if you would like to process on credit card ending in xxxx (what you have on file)
* Say yes, and that's it.

It is the first agreement you had signed with Verizon when you placed the order
I have the "installment loans agreement " downloaded when I placed the order on Walmart. Can I find it there ?

Just disconnected my Verizon line. Here's a summary for others benefit

Nov 25:
- Ordered Verizon iPhone 15 Plus
- Phone was shipped and Verizon line activated (Downloaded activation document as proof for Walmart GC)
- Created Verizon Login and linked phone number

Nov 26:
- Added credit card, paid off $829 balance for iPhone 15 Plus
- Disconnected line by Live agent chat. They initially wanted to set cancellation effective at end of billing cycle, but I insisted to cancel effective immediately (to avoid activation fee and plan fee for rest of the month)
- iPhone 15 Plus is in transit, will receive by Nov 29

Nov 29 Plan:
- When I turn on the phone, it cannot connect to Verizon as line is disconnected
- Will activate with T-Mobile eSIM (a flex policy iPhone can be activated on any US carrier)
- I expect to get my $400 Walmart GC after 20 to 25 days (The terms only require Verizon activation, they do not require line to be active to process GC. At least 2 people cancelled within 3 days last year and still got the GC, see here)

Note:
- If everything goes per plan, my effective cost for 128 GB iPhone 15 Plus will be $490 ($829 + $51 Tax + $10 pro rate plan - $400 Walmart GC)
- I plan to ask T-Mobile to unlock after 40 days. There is a possibility T-Mobile will refuse and say the phone was sold by Verizon and cannot be unlocked by T-Mobile.

My phone is shipped but could not link the phone number. I talked to VZ, they suggested me to wait till I receive the phone stating line would get activated after I receive it. Am I expected to receive email upon activation while phone being shipped? Last year I remember I got some email , this time no.

I had been thinking about getting this deal but to wait for 60 days to unlock and then cancelling the line so that the $75 monthly is saved seems a big issue.
Instead Visible seems better option.

Debits:
Phone Price :$1100 (Iphone 16 Pro 256 GB)
Visible Plan 1 month : $25

Credits:
Gift Card: $200
Cashback. R*K*T*N : $60 (11/26 Deal)
If Pay by Chase Flex card with paypal: $55 back (5% back quarter deal)
Chase Merchant offer Visible : $30
Referral Bonus: $20 (with referral code)

Total Credit: $365

Please share if this is a good option than the walmart deal.

I did not receive any emails. Upon activation, there will be an activation file under Account-> Bill-> Document. Since you are not able to link, no way for you to check.

So if we cancel Verizon service now and activate non Verizon service after we receive the phone it will be locked to only that service permanently if they can't/wont unlock right ? I can wait 60 days if that's the case, don't want to risk permanently locked.

Has anyone successfully done this and completed a trade-in through Verizon? I have the phone I want in my cart and ready to purchase, but it makes no mention of trading in my current phone.

Tried it. The bot says I am not a Verizon customer thus I need to dial *611 to talk to my service provider then it hangs the call.

Does the promotional trade in value only apply to iPhone 16 series? On AT&T website I don't see trade in deals for IPhone 15 series. If I try to get IPhone 15 pro through Walmart BF deal, how do I trade in my iPhone 13 Pro Max and still get full promotional trade in value? Do I trade in at the AT&T store?

Yes, you have to ask to chat to a Live agent. Don't chat with virtual agent/bot, it will cancel effective end of billing cycle.

Yes, safe option is to wait 60 days for Verizon to unlock. If activated on T-mobile or non Verizon service, you are at their mercy for unlock.

Having said that, see the screenshots attached to this Link. This person was able to unlock the Verizon iPhone through T-Mobile. My opinion - with major carries (T-Mobile or AT&T), we should be able to get them to unlock. But I wouldn't risk it with MVNO's.

Maybe check your Verizon documents (Account->Bill->Document) to see if the phone is activated
