Upgraded two lines with att. $35 per line upgrade fee plus $59 taxes for each iPhone 16 pro. Once I get it plan to activate it. Can I trade in iPhone 13 at AT&T store to get the $830 trade in value or trade in with Walmart to get $700 discount. Not clear about this part. Can someone reply who did this trade in process. Does it take 6 weeks to get the Walmart gift card ?

Agree, have to turn on with active Verizon service to start the unlock clock, then disconnect line.
So if the phone comes with 2387 verizon locked policy, we need to wait for the phone to arrive, then call verizon to pay off and cancel the line.
so in that case how much activation fee, and first month fee one would pay?

Same here. I did talk to a real person. They said everything looked good on their end, talk to Walmart. Of course, Walmart sent me back to ATT. Purchased iPhone 14+ last year with them and canceled after 2 days. Not sure if that is the issue.
I went to att store to ask for a new account, and it is approved, but strange thing is I cannot receive verification code and att said they cannot find my info in their system. Not sure if it is too short time for a new att number or some other issues. Did you open the new account online and declined?

Can I cancel the service before receiving and activating it?
Please go through previous discussions about this. There are many scenarios, canceling before activating verizon, using verizon service vs non verizon etc. I had same questions, my best option would be to activate the device and cancel the service tomorrow (still within 3 day window) so no activation charge, but wait for 60 days to unlock since i don't want to risk it permanently locked to verizon.

Can someone help me with these questions? Thanks a lot!

1. It says "Max of 3 upgrades in a 12-month period. " - does this mean max of 3 for same line, or max of 3 lines in a family plan?

2. It says "Limit 3 devices per customer. " - i assume this means one account can only buy 3 phones. Can I have my family members buy their phones under their own walmart account so the total of lines can be >3?

3. My understanding is we buy the phone online, then after we get the phone after a couple days, we could all go to the ATT store to trade in our old phones. There is no need for my family members to ship their phones to me and I go to store to trade in all. Correct?

4. My assumption is we could keep same unlimited plan with the price we are currently paying, instead of paying their unlimited plan price on market currently, correct?

Have you checked IMEI on sickw for the new i15 plus yet? I checked the IMEI information from the Customer Agreement pdf file, sickw mentioned "Locked Carrier: 2387 - US Verizon Locked Policy" not flex policy like Iphone 14 deal even though my new I15p is still in transit.
Where did you find the IMEI number on the pdf file? Mine just says (it does also show phone number):
DESCRIPTION OF GOODS: IP15 PM 256 NT/MU683LL/A ("Device")

Just checked, shows "Locked Carrier: 4000 - US Reseller Flex Policy"(I got lucky! I should have checked this before disconnecting line)Btw, I also checked the iPhone 14 that I skipped Verizon activation and directly activated on T-Mobile.Shows "Locked Carrier: 2408 - US Sprint/T-Mobile Locked Policy". I think I should be good to ask T-Mobile to unlock after 40 days.

Yes, receive and turn on phone to connect to Verizon, then pay off/cancel.
Estimated Charges depend on how fast you get the phone

If you get it within 3 days
Prorated plan fee + taxes: Around $8-$10
Activation Fee - if you cancel within 3 days of ship date, you can talk to Verizon and get it refunded. Within 2 days, its automatically refunded (Note: Its supposed to be refunded automatically for 3 days too, but I saw people complain it wasn't happening)

If its over 3 Days
Prorated plan fee + taxes: ($75/30) * No of days + Taxes
Activation Fee - $35

Look at the "Customer Agreement" pdf (When you open the pdf, page title is SERVICE SUMMARY). Device Id is the IMEI number (you will find this directly underneath the wireless number)

I may have goofed and disconnected too early. Where are you getting the imei? I only have the docs from my Walmart purchase but doubt it's in there since it hadn't shipped.

IMEI is not in the Walmart docs.
You need to get the docs from Verizon account (once phone ships, you will be able to link phone number to Verizon account and download the docs).

How did you pay off and disconnect without creating a Verizon account?

Weird, I do not have a "SERVICE SUMMARY" PDF. I got 2 PDFs and one is "My Verizon Wireless Customer Agreement" (which was updated August 24, 2022), the other one is "INSTALLMENT LOAN AGREEMENT/SECURITY AGREEMENT".

Edit: I see, I have to get the docs on Verizon account, my phone is not shipped yet. Thanks for the info!

I linked, paid off, disconnected & now all information is gone from Verizon account. I didn't download the docs before disconnecting. Also don't have a final bill.

It may take a day for the document to show up. Sometime after the phone ships (6-24 hrs?), you will see Activation document and a new Customer Agreement doc in the account.

Yep, all the docs vanish when you disconnect. Maybe you will get lucky and your phone is under US Flex Reseller Policy.
Note: Verizon lets you reactivate line within 50 days of cancelling

Don't fret over the final bill for now. Verizon will generate a "Final bill" in 1 or 2 days, which will show $100+ charges. Then after 2 or 3 more days, they will generate a "2nd final bill" that will do the prorating for line disconnection and activation fee refund.
