It showed me status as " request received for cancellation". However device is still shipped
Thank you, But I tried to place order one more time and i got the same order cancellation email. Email says exceeded "We're sorry, some items you ordered exceeded our quantity limits, so we had to cancel you order".
Has anyone faced this issue.?

Does anyone know what is the best day to place order to avoid the activation fee? I am thinking either Sunday night or Monday morning. That way I have 3 full bussiness day for shipping and handling.

i read all comments in the post but couldnt understand when does 3 day period start for cancellation for avoiding activation fees .

Does 3 day period start when the device is shipped?

Does the 3 day period start when device is delivered?

Does the 3 day period start when device is switched on and connected to verizon network?

user id unbreakable has done excellent effort in compiling information and presenting it here.

there is mention in the post to create a verizon account using new email id.
While setting up walmart order i provided email address and got verizon email that my email is updated.
Is it possible to create verizon account with different email id to what verizon sent email saying email is updated.

this in incorrect, Everyones phone will say Locked carrier: 2387 -US Verizon Locked Policy if their phone is in transit and you haven't cancelled the line yet. That's because it doesn't change to the 4000- US Reseller Flex Policy status until the line is cancelled prior to activation.
I can confirm that, thank you for the reassurance! I just disconnected via Verizon chat. Ordered on Monday, shipped on Tuesday, arriving tomorrow. It was showing as 2387 - US Verizon Locked Policy earlier today, even after I paid it off. After I chatted with them and disconnected, I checked again and it is now 4000 - US Reseller Flex Policy. All good.

Got it, any advantages of going with VZ over Att ?
I dont think there is any advantage if you know the steps. For me, I have done it with VZ last year. I am more familiar with VZ. I rather work with something I know well

So what exactly does that mean at this point before you get the phone? Does it mean it will be locked to the first carrier you connect and put sim in and power up?

Yes. I saw some comments regarding early unlocking. I also saw people cancelling their service before delivery so they can bypass the locking peiord entirely. While there are some sucesses, I noticed at least one person was not able to get their phone unlocked.

Since unlocking is very important to me, I rather wait 60 days so my phone can be 100% unlocked. I dont want to take any chances.

So here is my plan:

Tomorrow (black friday), go to walmart store see if the phone I want is available. If it is available, I will order from walmart so I can get the gift card in the same day.

If the phone I want is not available in walmart, I will place an order sunday night (I want to get the full 3 business day for shipping and handling. this should maximize my chance of not paying the $35 activation fee)

I will wait for delivery, then activate it, then pay it off, then cancel it. I will definitly not cancel the service before activation because I want to ensuure 100% unlock success

That is the plan, I put in my T-Mobile SIM when it arrives and it locks to that. I hope and will try to get it unlocked eventually, but I am in no hurry as I just got two Pixel 9 Pros with 24 monthly trade-in credits from another deal, so not going to leave T-Mobile anytime soon.

Can anyone explain to me how this is better than ATT's deal for an Iphone 15 for $5.99 a month or the 16 Plus for $10.99? Do the ATT deals require a much more expensive plan?

But so is the Walmart deal if you're trading in a phone....

So both deals require the same service plan?
