About to say that only ATT and Verizon, No Tmobile. Past experience of buying phones thru Walmart's partner is a pain. Long wait times and don't get what you want when it is our turn.

Not that good of a deal. Even if you got $1500, you are stuck with an expensive plan for 36 months ($2735). Not to mention, the credit requires a trade-in, and unless you trade in a high value phone, you won't get much back. You are better off selling your phone and catching a good sale (or port in deals) to score a discounted phone and use a cheap plan. Nowadays, you can get unlimited plans for $20-25. So, your plan cost in 36 months will be only $900. You also won't be stuck with a plan/carrier, so you'll be able to take advantages of port-in deals along the way, and you'll have the freedom of switching/upgrading your phone whenever you please (and sell your old phone before its value goes down).

You have to buy one of their expensive plans, which sucks.
Can they apply a Nursing discount in the store or would that be better off going straight through AT&T?

And do you get a $500 gift card per phone/line or only for one account? Looking to get a 5-line plan

When I try to place my order for an AT&T 16 Pro for AT&T, it doesn't say anything at all about a trade in. Is that correct? Is that all handled through AT&T?

Any ways to unlock VZ iphone ?, paid off however did not canceled the line yet. Want to use it with tmobile
I tried to unlock with a VZ chat rep but was told no, I have to wait 60 days (this was after they brought in level 2 support). The only way that I've seen to get it unlocked is to pay off the phone in cash or with a chip credit card at a special Corporate Verizon store (not just any local Verizon store), so that they can be assured that you won't reverse the charges on them afterwards. Or be in the military and about to be deployed overseas.

Does you phone show sim locked or no sim restriction? I am going to cancel my verizon line , but want it to stay unlocked

Instore people are activating the phone then handing the phone over to us
Mine shows sim locked (2387 Verizon locked policy), before and after cancelling.

I purchased iphone 16 in store today. I called 800-837-4966 from non-verizon phone. Robo says my phone is not eligible to pay off until 12/8.
Make sure that the non-verizon phone you're calling from is also a non-verizon-MVNO phone (no cell provider that uses the Verizon network).

Do you need to be present for delivery? Can I get it delivered at home and requestthe unlock process online without accessing the phone?
I am currently traveling outside and don't want to miss the deal.
It's a signature required delivery, someone has to be there to sign for it and tell the delivery man their name.

After paid off Verizon did anyone had luck with Visible wireless?
Says device not eligible as it is locked.
Probably no luck there because Visible is owned by Verizon. Maybe the only carrier that would work with a Verizon locked phone is US Mobile using their Warp (Verizon) service. US Mobile lines are some of the cheapest prepaid lines.

ii followed the steps.

Surprisingly the phone is unlocked. Verizon rep said it's unlocked if it was not then she put an unlock request.

she stayed on the line when i transfered my tello sim to esim on 15 pro max. What a deal. She was a kind one. $8 Prorated pending fee thats all
That's very fortunate, I wish that my chat rep had been that helpful. You bought an iPhone 15 pro max and it was automatically unlocked after you paid off the device? Or before you paid it off?

Maybe what happened is the Estimated Purchase Date (look up your phone's serial number on sickw to see it) was actually more than 60 days ago, rather than a couple days ago, for some mystery reason, so the 60 day unlock period had already passed. This may seem mysterious because the Estimated Purchase Date should be the date when you, the actual customer, bought it, but I noticed that one of my 2 iPhone 16 Pro Maxes had an estimated purchase date of November 15th, not November 25th, when I bought it, or November 27th, when I activated it, and was listed as 2387 Verizon locked before it was delivered to me. Whereas the other phone had an estimated purchase date of November 27th, when I activated it. I surmise that some of the phones are getting pre-locked to Verizon early and then sitting on a shelf in some inventory somewhere, with the 60 day unlock period already ticking down. What does sickw say your unlocked phone's estimated purchase date is?

Have anyone tried to join another ATT/VZ MVNO network? even if the phone says locked? I talked with redpocket agent and provided the SIM number she checked and said this device is compatible. Not sure what that means and only way to find out is actually join their network and see if it goes through all the way through.

They dont have a trial period etc otherwise I would test it out, you will need to buy one of their plan to find out which I havent done so far.

I was told the same later I found out it was not unlocked. When I called the 2nd agent they said this is a tier 2 agent job to unlock phones, They transferred me there and the agent said they need to fill out early unlock request and if it is approved then the phone will be unlocked in 7 days, I got an e-mail saying the phone doesnt meet a criterio to unlock early.

If it is truly working as unlocked, one other possibility is tello might be using VZ network and this area is not explored fully yet. what does your setting say locked or unlocked?

How did you do that? I got on phone because my account had issues with sign up registration process.
They put an unlock request. But does it even mean it will get unlocked?
So you are saying it unlocked in just couple of minutes? Is that right?
Pretty nice. Congrats to you.
So I ordered the phone at 3:00 AM Nov 27, and received at 5:00pm Nov 29. So I should I pay it off and cancel the line. Should I do this on the phone?
It was never locked from the beginning. I had the verizon number running for 3-4 hours. Multiple restarts, multiple sickw checks it always showed me unlocked. The lady also said it should be unlocked and then she also said she put a unlocking request as well. Then i disconnected the line and transfered my tello sim its working great. Now less kf a headache as i am going abrord in a month where i need to install my local sim.

Somehow it worked. Anyway like the wiki writer mentioned its possible to unlock if we pay if off, she didnt even question me once and i also mentioned if i can come back with query in case i face problem later after disconnected, she also said yes. Pretty awesome not to have delay to grt giftcard + unlocking process

Wait, this deal is for AT&T and Verizon customers. I can't tell how it works for t-mobile. In fact, I can't find any mention of walmart gift card for t-mobile customers on walmart website so proceed with caution.
The sign in Walmart store has T-Mobile on it. Anyway I am here in line already. I will report back what I find out.

Tello is tmobile network. Irrespective of network, its the iphone sim status. It never showed me "sim locked" like my straight talk phone.

I know its weird, but tello doesnt even lock phones or it would not work if the phone is not unlocked. I will surely know when i go abroad and install my local sim.

The Redpocket compatability IMEI checker also says that my IMEI2 number is compatible with their network, despite it being 2387 locked to Verizon. Maybe Redpocket is another carrier that can use locked Verizon phones with their Verizon carrier service, like US Mobile.

Got my Verizon iPhone Pro today at local Walmart store. Added a payment method on my new Verizon account.
dialed 8008374966 and provided the new phone number, getting no balance on the account. Do I need to wait for a day to pay off the device?
