FYI, you can transfer the eGiftcard to physical at Walmart customer service and it can used at Sam's Club without a membership, including the fuel pumps
You just go to customer service with the eGift card code?

Nope. It doesn't work. you can't buy GC with GC. As per the CSR Only allowed tenders are:
Cash
Debit
Credit
Checks
Unless CSR has an option of GC?

Once activated with Verizon you can also use other eSIM slots from service like Visible, US Mobile etc.. They are all on Verizon anyway.
And we are sure activating on us mobile (after activating and cancelling line on verizon) will still result in Verizon unlocking the phone after 60 days? Don't want to take a chance with the phone staying locked.

Yes, just ask them to transfer the balance to a physical giftcard.

The Verizon line is done (activated, used cancelled and it's locked for 60days. Can you use your phone? yes, if you can as you already paid for it. Not sure why Verizon would stop the unlocking when everything is paid in full.

Does anyone know how much time does it generally take for att to produce final bill after canceling the line?

sorry if this has been asked before. I'm trying to get 4 lines. Guess this deal only works for one account? would I be better off to look for costco or sam for multiple lines?

Thanks

I only got one line, but I believe the bonus gift card is given per line. So you should be able to do 4 lines.

I'm just looking to upgrade from a S20 FE. It looks like with Unlimited Plus I can get an iPhone 16 base model free with bill credits. We plan on staying with Verizon.

Would it be better to go through this Wal-Mart deal? Thnx

Unlocking Process: (to be performed AFTER you 1. transfer the eSIM out and make a couple calls to get the ATT system to recognize the phone number is associated with a different phone 2. Paid off the phone.).
  1. Go to https://www.att.com/deviceunlock/unlockstep1 and say NO to if you have an ATT number, which then allows you to put in the IMEI. and check the box for eligibility, click next.
  2. Enter information of someone who is not the holder of the account including their email address. (family member so you can get to the email quickly)
  3. ATT will email the address you entered above a confirmation email to verify if you are indeed asking for an unlock. Click on the link in the email.
  4. 5 minutes later, email came with Approved message (at least for me), with instructions on how to proceed (you can use another eSim at this point, I verified with an IMEI checker and it said UNLOCKED)
Cancellation process: (to be performed AFTER you unlock the phone), If you bought in-store on Friday like I did, you should have until Monday to cancel if you call ATT. Or if you are like me and don't want the retention talk, use the following:Get a transfer PIN:To get your AT&T Number Transfer PIN, you can:
  1. Go to your myAT&T profile
  2. Select People & permissions
  3. Select Wireless
  4. Scroll to Transfer phone number and select Request a new PIN
With PIN in hand, transfer the phone number out of ATT to stop the billing. I did not end up paying an activation or any charges for these couple of days.
thanks a ton sir, for taking time and explaining here. I followed step by step process as you mentioned, and it worked. Thanks again !

Order last Monday 11/25 and received the 15 Pro and activated it 11/27. Working well. Waiting on the egift card. I think it takes a couple of weeks few years ago when I did this.

Ordered 11/25 , received, activated, paid off and disconnected 11/27 via porting out. Verizon phone. Final bill still shows activation fee, call Verizon and they are not helpful and lie that activation fee cannot be credited back even within 3 days. Avoid calling all together, just file a billing dispute form on Verizon website and they fix this within an hour.
