I would reframe from using shark bites if at all possible! They will eventually leak.
Is your recommendation based on a personal bad experience with one of the SharkBite products ? I ask because I have had a few sharkbite connectors installed at my place for at least 5 years now, and they show no signs of leaking.
Of course my case is anecdotal evidence, but anything will leak eventually. However, I am a lot more confident in my ability to correctly install these things than to sweat pipes properly. The real question is how long they will last, and whether paying a plumber is a better investment.
To be fair, all my sharkbite connections are in places where I can easily access them i.e. not inside the walls.

Are you a plumber? I have multiple in place for 2+ years, even 2 outside, with no leaking. Even if so, I can replace them 20x over for less than the cost of getting a plumber in.
I would refrain from your advice based on my personal experience.

I have multiple shark and gator bites installed at exterior spigots, zero issues. I have a few underneath the house after doing emergency self-repairs (and previously paying a plumber $400 for a 15m job on Christmas weekend).
Will they last 50 years? 🤷🏻 Can I repair them myself for pennies compared to a plumber? ✅

I replumbed my entire house PEX and mostly crimp but plenty of sharkbite, since 2011 because they wanted $20-30k to redo the entire house copper. Costed me about $700 in materials and tools. Hasn't been a single leak. Haven't hired a plumber since unless its to jet a drain....
Back to this.. i'd be more inclinded to buy 3/4" spares than 1/2"...

Further anecdotal evidence. When I do hire a plumber, they use generic sharkbites. I've put in more than 10 sharkbites between my home and my rental (crappy CPVC), the only one that has leaked is one that was broke by the condo's hired plumber/hvac annual inspector. Then they had the balls to write it up as a suggested repair. I could literally see a dirty handprint on the bent pipe. Doesn't help the plumbers are not scammers sales pitch.

The only shark bites I have had leak were used with cheap clear PVC. I always use white PVC now. I have had one pop off of a copper pipe. But It was user error.
Ok, two items. Estimated lifespan of sharkbite fittings is 25 years. Copper soldered fittings will last a lifetime. Second, dont confuse ProPress fittings (which are xommonly used by professional plumbers) with sharkbite. ProPress uses a completely different attachment method and will last longer. I do not bury SharkBite fittings in walls, because I plan to live here more than 25 years. I have used them in tight areas I can easily inspect.
