Apple education site has this for $999. Anyone know if the $200 gift card deal starting 11/29 will be applicable to edu purchases also?

I prefer to buy from Best Buy at $849 because I think their shipping/returns are better and I find they're the easiest to do a price match with if the price goes down further. Just my $.02 though.
You can price match Amazon at Best Buy

Doesn't BB have a restocking fee as well?

I think I would do this deal if I knew I could actually get $400 + for my really good condition M1 MacBook Air 8/256. That is what they have sold for on Swappa. Just don't want to sell mine and by then, this deal is gone. Or, get the M3 and then I can't sell my M1 for a good price.

I don't expect a major update. But M4 is the more efficient chip so the laptop will run cooler under more intense computing and you get a better battery performance.. also rumors talking about upgraded 12 MB webcam and possibly 3 monitors support. Unlikely they will upgrade the screen to 120 HZ and probably keep that exclusive to the pro line for the time being. Im not saying the M3 is an inferior laptop by any means or the M4 will be a major upgrade.. but am only willing to buy the M3 at significant discount otherwise waiting for the newest model and more future proof machine..

Costco is $899 but comes with the extra warranty. Worth spending the extra $50 there.
Anyway still have to buy apple care for accidents so what's the point

Prices in spring will be $1399 + for MBA. Usually those are intro prices. To get it this low you will have to wait edu prices which usually kick in around august September
That's for mb pro

Costco store rep told me Macbooks have no extended warranty anymore other than manufacturer 12 months. Is there any other additional warranty that you're referring to?

Is it worth the extra $100 for the M3 over the M2?

You'll get a slightly faster processor, a faster SSD since the 256GB MacBook Air M2 has a one chip SSD that is slower, and potentially an extra year of OSX support. To each their own, but I prefer spending $100 extra for a better experience over the long run.
