That's impossible, how can I mail it and have them receive it the next day? They should have an expiration date at least a week or two away, so that I can first receive and activate the new Pixel 9, copy stuff over (if needed), delete all my personal info from the Pixel 6 ("You will remove all Device data and personal information, passwords, security software, or user locks."), then ship it to them and leave time for shipping carrier to get it to them.
So I reluctantly backed out at the final step.
What's next?
Once that cool new device is in your hands, get started on these important next steps.
Trade in your old device
Once your new Pixel 9 Pro ships, you'll have 30 days to send back your current Google GVU6C Pixel 7 5G 128GB White - T-Mobile in good condition to retain your promotional value of $800.00.

#1 Screen burns
#2 Black spot
#3 The back having cracks
Thanks
Anyone ?
Thanks for your reply. I was asking because on their terms they only state the following:
#1 The device stays powered on
#2 The screen on my device is free of cracks (scratches and scuffs are acceptable)
#3 The device has never been damaged by liquid or moisture
Having said that, I woke up this morning to a text on my phone stating:
"T-Mobile promo message: Line XXXX is scheduled to receive a monthly bill credit for Smartphone Trade ID240577 as long as you maintain eligibility."
I think(?) I am less concerned now that I have that text message (well, so long as my receiving documents titled "Trade In Device" and "Overview" are not requirements for me to "maintain eligibility").
I will stop by T-Mobile corporate store later today, and see if they can confirm my credit (and I will take a picture of their confirmation screen).

At the end of the day, you are going to be dealing with a person. The more damaged the phone, the more likely they are going to push back and reject it. You can argue the rules but is it really worth your time vs getting a $120 trade-in phone off ebay?
I have a spare 8, traded it for the 9 for future trade in purpose. Since I get the full $800 in the form of credit, so that means technically the phone is paid off from the get go. Can I ask to get it unlocked from day 1 or after 40 days?

$800 credit is not one time. It will be spread over 24months. So it is not paid off.
You can still try though, if you get a nice rep, they might help you unlock.

They're pretty strict about it in my experience, I've seen them do it with a few months left on the bill credits but after 40 days when there are 22-23 months left of bill credits would be a long shot, but the worst thing that can happen is they tell you no. Lol.
