"it uses LG Display's WOLED panel — the same panel used by LG Electronics' B-Series OLED TVs"
Overall great value and price point. Ran some 4k material through its paces vs B4 and C4. The color accuracy is much better on LG. You will need some time to adjust the picture settings to give this a similar look to LG panels. Personally I think this would be ideal for a bedroom TV or used a computer monitor.
Ah Sansui, that's a brand I haven't seen in a while, I remember back in the glory days of Black Friday when those were the budget, 32 inch "big screen" tvs that people would stand in line for at 2 in the morning. Glad to see this deal pop up, gave me a gladdened feeling of nostalgia.

I have a 55" Roku SmartTV suffering the slow death of backlight overheating, resulting in darker areas that are sometimes unwatchable in extremely dark scenes. Does anyone know if this TV might fair any better or if there is a different deal on a better TV? I see online talks that backlit as opposed to edge lit TVs would last longer but I don't think this TV is backlit?

No 120hz at 4k for those interested. Thanks for the link, it can be very difficult to cut through the marketing BS regarding refresh rate.
Wrong this will support 4k at 120 as it has 2 hdmi 2.1 ports

Bought this tv this week for $599 at micro center. It's been a great TV so far. Picture is great. Put in the master bedroom. No complaints.

Put in an order but had to cancel after reviewing the specs.

500nits peak brightness and 21ms latency when gaming. So not very bright to make those colors pop and gaming performance on the TV is not great at 21ms.

This is OLED. Each pixel generate it's own light so no back or edge lighting required. However, because of this exact reason, it is more prone to burn-in. I heard the newer generations of OLED have improved. For me, personally, I own a C7 and I think the picture quality is worth it.

Here is a comparison to the B4 (the Sony in the article is no OLED so not fair comparison)
The B4 seems to get a little brighter which is strange because they use same panel.

In the world only korean lg and samsung makes oled (china and japan are very very minor under 10%) so if you see oled tv or oled phone they are most likely korean made oled
