GL!dang, no go for me, they were insistent I can only do it online
called sams, but they said the same thing, oh well, still a deal!
Today I called in to costco Tmobile and got a nicer rep. I immediately told him that I can't login to my account through the app and doing through the website was giving me issues too. He agreed to help and I was able to successfully go through with the trade in deal through costco. Got activation waived (had to ask his manager for approval) and 2 x $100 Costco shopcards.
Now just need to return the phones from the first order once they arrive.
