$1000 (256gb Pixel 9 Pro/ProXL)
+$100 (~10% CA sales tax)
+$40 (burner S9 from OfferUp to trade in)
-$800 (promo)
= ~$340
I went to my local Costco x T-Mobile kiosk, and was told that the "Upgrade" promo for $800 off is only good via "Digital" order aka the TMO app/online, aight bet whateva.
I've been on the TMO OnePlus family plan since day one (6 lines; $140/mo), and I do not intend on switching away from this gucci plan for the foreseeable future. I ordered via the TMO app, picked up my new device + surrendered the burner S9 trade-in within the hour at my local corporate store, and typing from my brand new Pixel 9 Pro 256gb at this very moment. I don't even need this phone, but I just can't say no to such a great deal.
side deal: I also got that "free" Pixel 8a w/ burner trade-in from TMO, flipped it for $200 on OfferUp this morning to further chip away at the final cost of this P9Pro/ProXL deal.
These 24mo EIP credits don't scare me; the next 2 years are gonna fly by. Ask me anything.
And can it be locked to Verizon?

And can it be locked to Verizon?
But I still don't know if it can be locked to another carrier. Anyone know?
I tried the T-Life app, it tells me to go through the T-mobile account hub, then it keeps sending me in circles after logging in to tell me I need to be invited to use the Account Hub. Yesterday, I did manage to log in and go through all the steps to check out. But I stopped because it was only showed a total credit of $110 for my Pixel 7. I wasn't comfortable with that and decided to call.
Customer service on the phone yesterday tried to get me to switch plans. I said no thanks, then they told me I could only get a $500 credit. Today, customer service said I had to add a line or switch plans, I say no thanks again, then they said I could only get a $300 credit.
Anyone else have a sure fire way with a One Business account?
He looked up the promo, I gave him a IMEI off an IMEI generator (planning to buy an S9 off eBay later on), and directed me to apply for the promo online.
Only paid tax ($56), no $35 fee. Planning to go back in tomorrow for 1 or 2 more.
$800 promo value for the S9 - ONE Plan.
