EDIT: While the front screen is perfect, the camera part on the back is cracked, though, not interfering with the lenses or the flash. Will the trade-in value get nicked for that?
EDIT 2: INstead of mailing my current phone in for the trade, can I take it to a local TMo store?
Yes, go into a corporate store and the rep will manually modify the make, model and IMEI of the qualifying trade-in device.
Is hard usually store rep only continue with the information they have on system

You can pickup and do in store trade in , on same visit or you have 30 days to submit your trade in after pickup
Thank you, I meant doing the upgrade from app and then picking it up from nearby store, if they had inventory. Sorry I wasn't clear.
Phones were powered on by agent
Agent checked for screen cracks
Agent checked the IMEI
Agent checked the 'storage capacity' to be sure it matched up with the trade in
Agent looked up phone number for each of my two trade-ins.
Took em.
Gave me a receipt.
Viola! $800 credit over 2 years !
I got a Pixel Pro 9
and a Pixel Pro 9 XL
Very happy.
I had one trade in (S21) and I bought one trade in for $99 at a local shop (Samsung S10e)
All went well.

Long time Samsung user and my recent one I am using now is s23 what's disappointing for apart of Samsung sets s series to be precise are slim and lightweight I never had issues with hardware but s23 battery is horrible I have to charge multiple times a day, Samsung despite charging 800 for s23 it doesn't come with fast charging less battery, I just got a pixel 9 pro definitely to be on heavy site and it should be compared with ultra but I believe is really a time for me to test something different, iPhone is a no go for me they put a trend to fcku up the market/consumer by removing removable battery, charger, memory slot and to be my surprise no sim tray, I don't waste a penny on such company
