No OLED either! 😕. It's almost like this is priced as a bargain basement TV.
If you prefer Roku, the 55" Hisense R6030 goes on sale @ Walmart for $178 on Mon, 11/25.

Best Buy definitely skimping by not selling the 55in Q5 for this price they had earlier in August (and 50in for $150 in October 2023). Managed to grab both as unserious TVs for my SO's den and my office respectively (OLEDs elsewhere in the house). Now THOSE a much better (Android) TVs and at least support Dolby vision too (even though the screen is a lil too junky to properly support any HDR formats 🤣). 60hz of course, but absolutely solid under $200 TVs.

Do what's best, Best Buy!

Is this TCL better than the Hisense at the same price from Walmart?

Too bad Best buy does not have a 65" for $228, as at Walmart.

This one has eARC while the Hisense has the older ARC HDMI port. This really only matters if you plan on using a more higher end soundbar.

There's not much out there to determine which is better.

Bought 2x "like models" like 4 years ago or so for this price, and they've been fantastic. I highly recommend installing Projectivy Launcher on it and getting rid of Amazons ad-infested launcher and disabling the stock launcher entirely. This drastically improved the speed of it overall. Overall this version is better in my mind than any Roku version due to being able to that, and sideload other apps.

This, or the $239 TCL from Amazon that's on sale for BF, or the $220 Hisense QLED from Best Buy?

Safely assuming it's a Black Friday specific model, as for what's different I'm unsure. But usually/typically they make very specific models for Black Friday to differentiate them and avoid price-matching.

Purchase the 50-inch from Walmart but now debating by returning it and getting this though I really don't like the built-in Fire TV versus the Roku interface

Yeah - I wonder how this compares to the Wally World Hisense for roughly same price (I created thread yesterday)

I am still debating going super budget or spending 2.5x and getting the QM7

Don't Insignia's have model names like F35? I wonder if they are the same
Edit: Searched and found the Insignia F30, not a BF super deal like this model so more expensive at the moment but still wonder if Insignias are made by TCL
