Not a bad deal, but at this price you can get a few X870 boards that include WiFi 7 and 2x USB4.0 which support TB3 accessories anyways. (so no need for the TB header on this board)

Don't the non-e models only have one chip on the board so there's less dedicated pcie lanes?

Just bought a 9800x3d and on the hunt for a mobo. Unless you need the USB 4.0 or the WIFI7 I figure the x670e boards are the better deal if they're cheaper

This board has issues. I had one for myself and one for the wife, both had random freezing issues. We swapped the boards and everything was fine.

I have this board and it used to have a lot of issues. I think it's been ironed out for the most part but Asus has been on my sht list after it fried my brand new 7950x3d. I got replacements for both the board and CPU from the manufacturers, but literally had to spend weeks and lots of money diagnosing what was going on while building the new PC. This was just as the ASUS Mobo issues were coming to light. I have been using the replacement fine for the most part without issues so they've probably rectified things.

That's correct, however I noticed that most x870e boards and x670e boards don't really have any different IO or pci/nvme than their non e counter parts. Besides the x870 boards already have plenty of bandwidth for most peoples needs.

To each their own, but I recommend if you're paying this much already, I would rather get a board that has USB4 ports (IMO x870 > x670e)
