Great deal. Especially on a $100 gift card since chipotle only allows one gift card only per order.
bestbuy limit: Max 3 per customer (confirmed, mult orders don't work)
Regarding PayPal, the cashback option doesn't seem to be available anymore. Wondering if it would have worked though since gift cards are usually excluded from cashback.
Thanks OP!
FYI, chase freedom credit cards have 5% cash back on paypal orders

Hqve you received a confirmation from amex? It says gift cards are excluded!
No email yet -- Amex has been slacking lately on offer emails

GCs have been fine as long as it goes through regular BB checkout system -- electronic Best Buy GCs don't work since those take you to Cashstar website

I believe in recent years Amex has allowed PP payment to qualify for Best Buy offer specifically -- PP may not work for other retailer Amex offers

AMEX has $25 off $250 BestBuy purchase offer also. Makes this $230 for $300 in gift cards or almost 25% off.
Edit: now that I read the fine print it says it excludes gift cards but how would they know what exactly I bought?
From my past experience, AMEX doesn't know. I used it 2 days ago and received email from AMEX saying I used the Best Buy offer.

You would be surprised at how much information American Express has access to about your purchases

I used to have an American Express credit card and every time I made a purchase at Staples using my Delta AMEX, it would show exactly what I bought at Staples - the name and brand of each item, the amount that each item cost, etc. (for every purchase that I made at Staples)

They probably have access to that kind of information for many other retailers as well, but my guess is that at a minimum (especially regarding the high fraud that some retailers like Best Buy have) my guess is that they can see whether or not you bought a gift card (or something else) and probably have a lot more information than just that.

and that was years ago, I had an AMEX around 2014-2017 - so they probably have access to a lot more information than just that nowadays
It's a violation of your privacy. Credit card companies are not entitled to information on what you have purchased. That's not relevant to the service they provide. Best buy may share a product category but should not share actual items you have purchased.

Its not a piracy violation -- some retailers can opt in to level 3 data sharing (usually they negotiate a lower processing fee for it)

Google "credit card level 3 data" -- Staples does it

BB offer shows redeemed (no email) -- charge is still pending so I'm guessing both will post tomorrow

Good news! You used this Amex Offer:

Credit -$25.00
Will appear as a credit on your Dec 20 statement as WWW.BESTBUY.COM 888 EDEN PRAIRIRP

Is there a way to combine GC balances since app only allows one GC as a payment option? Thanks
I checked as I had some left over from a previous GC, and the answer seems to be no. A nuisance for sure

I see that in the fine print now but how would AMEX know what I bought?
Credit card issuers often categorize purchases by merchant. i.e., Gas stations ofter categorize a gasoline purchase vs. an in-store food purchase.
