Just to let people know that I bought these when they were on sale. Slick deals 2 years ago. They don't last long. It's a good deal for the amount but they don't last
Heat usually kills a LED bulb, so you want a high efficiency bulb. When you divide lumens by watts it should be at least 100 for a more efficient bulb that usually lasts longer. This one rates at only 94% so that's probably why they don't last long. I'd avoid.

Costco in my area has been running bulb sale on and off for the past year, $2 for 6 -8 pack, color adjustable and 60-100watt options.
Sounds like subsidized price by your local utility company. They cost a bit more here without those subsidies. I wish we could get rid of PGE but that's another topic

If you put them in totally enclosed fixtures where they can't release much heat then that really cuts back on their life.

It's as if they turned down the quality and longevity just to make money.
I recall when they started coming out they were expensive but were made of durable materials and lasted a few decades.

Indeed, at some point they stopped making them to withstand the heat of an enclosed fixture, you have to buy LED bulbs specifically rated for enclosed fixtures now.

This is as good price for the bulbs... If these don't last then what does? GE prices are usually high.
