Meh. Costco has the avr-x1700 which is 80w a channel for $30 more. And a Costco return policy. Would rather go with that.

I've read that both amps are rated the same watts per channel. The only reason to label this one 75w is because it's not the premium line (ie: AX). This unit is newer and very similar to the ax1700. Arguably the amplifiers are better in the premium lines. This is $30 cheaper than the Abt deal from a month ago and a good option to those without a Costco membership or need the newer software.

If you're willing to take the risk A4L has these refurbished for 299 every day. Been watching them to see if they go cheaper for black Friday but nothing yet

If you need HDMI 2.1 ports that will work correctly with the PS5 and Series X this is a good choice. I looked at other receivers from Yamaha and Onkyo but they had limitations with their HDMI that caused issues getting 4K 120 out to the TV.

I went this route a couple months ago. My receiver looks and smells new. It's indistinguishable from new and has worked great.

I have an hdmi run to the basement for the av while the tv is upstairs. Would I be able to connect a chromecast to it and get audio? The tv has an arc hdmi plug if that helps. Was like this when I moved in.

I'm still running a Denon avr1913 from 10+ years ago I think. Its 90 watts per channel and this is 75w. Will I notice a difference?
