You need to keep Cricket service for 6 consecutive months, then Cricket will unlock it

For anyone who wants it actually unlocked at some point, it will cost you $100 + $120 + $120, which includes 6 months of cricket service. Two months of unlimited and four months of the $30 5gb plan.

Not bad at all if you need a decent new phone + plan. Cricket is also rock-solid as far as quality of service is concerned.

If you are on Cricket already, you can get it cheaper, because they only require 1 month when adding a new line.
I don't know about the activation, but you can just insert your current sim card and it will work.
You can still unlock the phone, just insert your current sim and keep service for 6 months, after that, you can contact Cricket and they will give you the unlock code, I have done it a few times.

I got the S24 FE without any SIM card in box. Did they miss sending a physical SIM card?

I bought 2 of these, and the sim card was inside the phone box, it was in a carton where they have the charging cable

Thanks. What a ridiculous place to keep SIM card (almost hidden spot)!

I called them to get an eSIM activation, thinking they forgot to include a SIM card.

I have not received the phone, delivery expected tomorrow. I haven't seen anything about auto activate in the terms.
Did anyone tried not activating and just putting in an existing sim to the new phone? Did it auto-activate after 7 days or any chance the new line just dropped off? Interested to hear if anyone tried this path recently, TIA!

Thank you for your response, has it been a month for you yet, does the new line just drop off on your account? Or if not, do you plan to just ignore it and see what happens after some time?

Yes it's been about a month. I'm just waiting it out. I still get a message in the cricket app saying "pending order" at the top.

Did you have a problem with the autopay? Or was the credit applied to your Amount Due so you pay less that month?

Has anyone done a speed test on your phone? I went to Ookla.com and im only getting a average speed of 70mbps. On my old Oneplus 8t phone that is on T-Mobile i get 717.58mbps. Hard to believe the phone is 4 years old.

Is this S24 FE actually much of an upgrade from my current S22+? I was looking at side-by-side comparisons and it seems pretty similar in most ways. Now if I got a "real" S24+ that would have some better items like better screen, etc.

Just trying to decide if worth it to jump thru hoops like this to get something that is functionally equivalent to the S22+ I have now and is working great. I guess will have 100% battery capacity vs my current phone in the lower 90s but not sure that is worth all the hoops. It's a tempting price though

to save even more with Cricket, they have a mostly unadvertised and sort of not mentioned unless you ask $45. x 3 month plan ($15. a month for talk, text, data). To drop down to for the second and following months. You may have to switch reps if one does not give it.
How to make the change? Chat or call 611?

I did a call to c/s and at first hey didn't want to do it, but I then asked for my account number and pin and said I would port out. They then gave me the 3 month at $45. plan.

Yes you can leave the packaging sealed. You can activate the line on the cricket app and the SIM card they send never has to be put in the phone. I canceled the line the next day after I activated it and opened the phone a day after that and put in another person's SIM card on my account
When you say you "canceled the line the next day after you activated it", did they take away the credit and charged you for it?

I just signed up with cricket for this deal. Can I use another carries esim once I get the phone or do I have to wait until it's unlocked after the 60 days?
