Proprietary case, mobo, and PSU. Everything else can be swapped if wanted.
What difference does it make? Whether it's done or not out of the box, just update the BIOS to the latest (which will likely need to be done anyways). Running it for 30 minutes isn't going to kill the CPU. It's my understanding that over-clocking or over-volting the CPU for a long time is what causes the instability and this "F" chip isn't unlocked.

I have an R11 and it was picky on which RAM it would accept. The newer models might be less picky. Food for thought.

Even had trouble swapping case fans in one of these dells. Mobo wouldn't recognize the fans and they wouldn't even spin

My kid ran this system since we got in on the last deal (exact same hardware except it had a 4090) all day every day playing video games during the summer for months before the update came out.

No blue screens before or after. It's incredibly unlikely that someone would run into an issue before they are able to update the bios (and frankly even if you never do odds are you won't be affected), but even if you are they are covered by warranty by both Dell and Intel.

If I wait for Black Friday, the Costco i9 with the 4070 Super card but with a 2tb SSD will be 500 less… so that's still the better deal, right?
Not if you want a 4080?

Ordered it last night when this deal appeared! Was able to get the new email subscription 10% discount code using my work email. Was about the best specs per cost I had seen so far at this end of the spectrum and didn't want it to sell out. I'll be using it for a long while and can't wait to use it for photo/video editing and cranking up the specs to max on games finally!

Already commented this deal hack on both the $2100 14th gen deal and the $2000 13th gen deal. I've had that exact build in my house for a week...

If you got an email from CapOne saying "Up to 16% cash back" be warned that seems to be on accessories. 4% is the highest I've seen from them on desktops.

A quick search on ebay's completed listings will answer your question. Do some leg work. Not everything can be spoonfed. C'mon now.

This is not a 14th gen but a 13 gen gaming pc.
You can choose the 14th gen on the build page. Go back and take a look this time. It's all there in black and white. Enjoy!
