Can these be great atmos speakers once connected and configured as atmos with a 7.1 receiver?

Have these as mains in the home gym, and they aren't great. Obviously that's subjective but of the Polks, Boston, and Klipsch I've used in previous installs - these are the absolute worst. Unfortunately, the cutouts to install these are massive. Currently looking for replacements that require 10" cutouts, which leaves options somewhat limited. Otherwise, its some drywall work....

i agree with the other poster that these speakers are not good. i paid this price for the 6" version a few years ago. come to find out, the cutout is like 8.5" for a 6" speaker. learned my lesson. stuck with 4 pairs of these for now. i would not recommend them. real shame they carry the sonance name because i use sonos amps and that's who sonos pimps for their speakers which led me to believe i was getting something good.
