Newegg has this combo deal which is a bit complicated but if the Uber Eats and Steam credits are useful to you then this could be great.

MSI MAG X870 TOMAHAWK [newegg.com] $299

CORSAIR Vengeance RGB 32GB (2 x 16GB) 288-Pin PC RAM DDR5 6000 (PC5 48000) Desktop Memory Model CMH32GX5M2B6000C28 [newegg.com] $134.99

Add both it will give you combo discounts (-$47.00)
Additional discounts via promo codes BFVDY2A22 and BFEDY2A66 (-$20 x 2 = -$40)
Automatically adds Uber Eats $50 Gift card (email delivery)

Subtotal = $347.98

$50 Steam credits via 2 links:
MSI Ultra Connect to New Era [msi.com] $30 Steam code
MSI Shout Out (need to share feedback) [msi.com] $20 Steam code

Mail-in Rebate Form [newegg.com] $10 Mail-in rebate + additional $30 for writing a review

If you think of the $50 Uber Eats Gift cards, $50 Steam credit, and $40 in mail-in rebates as good as cash, then essentially this deal comes out to:

$347.98 - $50 UE - $50 Steam - $40 MIR = Effectively $207.98 + tax

Obviously there's quite a few hoops to jump through to get all this, and you have to value Uber Eats and Steam, but if you do this is probably the best deal for an X870 + 32GB RAM right now.

damn, thanks for detailed info, TU.
Craziest thing about this is the mail in rebate, I thought all rebates were digital now.
Definitely debating this as im shopping for a new 9800x3d build.

I, too, almost pulled the trigger BUT the ram bundled with this is NOT AMD EXPO (it is intel). If you're going to spend the money, better to have the corresponding performance ram.

There is nothing about this deal is appealing. You are better off getting a X670e motherboard with better technology on it than this mobo.

Is that true? Does X670E have WiFi 7, USB 4.0, 5 Gb Ethernet? I will say the recent reviews on this X870 are pretty scary.

According to the description on Newegg the RAM is also compatible with AMD EXPO:

"AMD® EXPO and Intel XMP 3.0 Compatibility: Compatible with AMD® EXPO and Intel XMP 3.0 for higher frequencies and exceptional overclocking performance."

Question about the steam codes:

How do they work? Do you just apply them to your account and you have the credit in your account?

Do they expire?

Actually pulled the trigger. Sounds like an amazing deal.

Avg 4.7 stars with 138 reviews on Newegg is actually pretty amazing for a motherboard. Only 2% of the reviews are 1-star. I pulled the trigger on this.

Note: The mail-in rebate must be sent in within 21 days of purchase.

There's nothing wrong with using XMP memory for AMD, MSI boards even having preset timings you can select. There's no performance difference either, it boils down to the timings and CAS Latency. The only bad thing about it is being X870 which is like a B650 board in terms of I/O, you'll have less chipset PCIe lanes (if this matters to you, get an X870E).

XMP and EXPO are just memory presets, physically like for like it's the same hardware, there's no performance difference given the same timings. Just go with whatever aesthetic or price point, capacity you prefer and not worry about XMP or EXPO because you'll lock yourself out of the options/sales.

I agree with you that it likely doesn't make *that* much difference it's just if you are paying this price might as well get the certified ram.

Certified RAM on an AMD system can work, but it's not guaranteed to run at the advertised XMP speeds. XMP is essentially an Intel technology, and AMD systems might not fully support certain XMP profiles.

The Corsair Vengeance kit with Intel XMP might not work seamlessly on an AMD system. Even though it could still function at lower speeds, it might not the full 6000MHz speed and timings specified in the XMP profile.

The AMD version is almost the same price as this with discounts.

For the record, would that be CMH32GX5M2B6000Z28 [newegg.com]?

Important to remember these are incentivized reviews. Other recent slick deal thread for this MB has multiple RMA's which is pretty wild considering such a small n.

Amazon also reveals recent bad reviews:
"You will be beta testing a motherboard" 1 star
Unstable

Holy F this thing is so unstable right now I'd recommend people stay away from it for a while. I have inconsistent boots and have to frequently clear the CMOS just to get it working. They even rolled back the latest BIOS version because it was unstable. If you need to upgrade right now, stay away from this motherboard.
Another 1 star- Defective
This defective MSI motherboard drained my energy and patience as I tried to find a solution. After this exhausting experience, I've decided I'll never purchase from MSI again.

Etc.

Not crap posting because I am still considering this but just doing my own research and sharing.
