I have this Samsung 990D setup and I will echo the sentiments above - when properly optimized and settings and placement also optimized - this system is the best plug and play for the price - especially the 990C when available in low $600 range.
Just try playing "TV off" by Kendrick Lamar and even on a setting of volume 30 with EQ bass and treble setup right - the living room will shake. I have a "full" Sonos system (which I love) as well but for the price this can compete - kid you not.
Of course this is also my subjective experience. Always good to hear varying opinions.
