I just put up two solar S340, one wired floodlight E340 and the Home base S380. The software and hardware is very buggy for detecting, following and recording subject motion that is further than 10 feet. Sometimes they would follow sometimes they wouldn't. Same for recording. Sometimes they would start recording when the subject entered the zone, sometimes not until they were leaving the zone, etc, etc, etc.
Support wait times are close to an hour and did not resolve anything. Email correspondence said they would replace all of the units but with refurbished units. I declined as the units were working fine within the 10 ft zone area. To replace brand new units that cost me nearly $700 with refurbished units would NOT be such a great idea. I had set up the cameras to include extended zones and confirmed all of my settings were correct as I'm pretty savvy and precise in setting up tech equipment.
I feel like the app and the hardware had not been fully tested in the real world environment and that I was now the beta test, a.ka guinea pig.
Btw, do not use the included mounting bracket screws. They are so bad, small screw heads and soft metal that you will wind up stripping them and not be able to remove the mounting brackets should you decide to change their location. Go to your local hardware store and get some non-rusting quality screws or better yet, depending on available mounting spots, purchase the rain gutter mounts instead. Much faster installation and much more flexibility for moving the cameras around.
In conclusion and from this experience, I would NOT purchase again and would not recommend.
I should have read the Reddit reviews. Lesson learned! Hoping their updates will eventually iron out all of the bugs but I'm not holding my breath.

My solar powered eufy stopped working after 9 months. They said we weren't getting enough sunlight in August when it worked fine in February. Been through a couple of calls (troubleshooting) and emails where it seems they are stalling asking for more and more info instead of replacing.

I just want motion triggered recording for my yard in case someone breaks in, with local storage on microSD & no subscription or base needed. Does this check those boxes?

I have the Floodlight E340 and really haven't had any issues with mine. Every once in awhile trying to pull up live view it stalls and fails but retrying works. I have this issue with every camera I've had in the past so it's not much of a differentiator. As far as functionality, this delivers as it gives me alerts really quick and the tracking also works well for me. I've decided to get this and the cheaper floodlight E30 to replace my old blinks that really were pretty useless. No more changing batteries.

What's the difference with the E340 and S330 wired camera besides the higher lumens? Which system is newer?

I've the same issue. Both detection and auto tracking are bad. Not recommended.

The E30 Floodlight is a stripped down version of the E340 Floodlight cam. The E30 only has 1 wide angle camera whereas the E340 has dual cameras with 8X hybrid zoom. I think the S330 Floodlight is the most expensive but may be an older model. I've read people had issues with moisture accumulation in the dome though.

Anyone use this for the backyard? I'd like to add some security there when we are not home but don't want friends and family that come over to feel like they are being watched. it would be cool if they had like a privacy cover or something to show it's not recording.
I don't own this particular camera, but I do have a number of their other devices (doorbells, cams, floodlight cams) - all offer a "sleep" function so that you can disable phone notifications for a set period of time, but understand that the events will still be recorded. They can also be disabled, which will will inactivate the camera and recordings, but you need to remember to re-enable it after your guests leave. I don't believe the camera will "park" or close a shutter though in disabled mode. I know that's a feature of some indoor cams for home/away settings.
