Sure, it is cheaper than its regular deal price of $300, but would not be worth waiting for, if you have been eyeing this model for a long while.

Def not at this price vomit Will be 2 gens old in a couple months and I think $200-230 would make better sense.

I've been holding tight for the new generation to come out early next year. The only thing that may sway me is a no brainer deal on a RX 7700 XT. Something like close to $300

Don't get this, I have 6700xt got two years ago and it's insufficient to run STALKER 2 at epic settings and Cyberpunk with RT.
7600xt eats cyberpunk on the other hand.

Not with RT - I just got a Predator 16 with 4080 and it can do high RT at 80-100 fps with DLSS.

That's ok. If I wanted rt I would have gone with something else. It still eats CPSmilie

There's also other benefits like better productivity, DLSS and a lot of AI/ML stuff runs better or is designed for Nvidia cards - I was all for AMD until I researched and saw how much Nvidia is ahead in a lot of areas.

Is it just the 5080 & 5090 that are releasing in January or is it the whole line?

Only, this older Gen sits pretty squarely in between a current-gen AMD 7600XT and 7700XT in performance at 1080p and 1440p, which is the likely max target for all 3 of those cards. At this price point, it's definitely a more powerful card than AND a better deal than a 7600XT and you'll need around +$100 to get up to a 7700XT (speaking soley about AMD cards). This should also sit in between an NVidia 4060 and 4060ti, and I'd apply the same comparison there, as well.

If you are strictly aiming for a $300 card for gaming, this should be on your short list.
