You also have to make sure all your privacy options are toggled to protect you because they aggressively capture your info and sell it.
I bailed on them last year when they started emailing any users I was associated with my watch history etc without my consent. You can find many complaints of this if you search for keywords such as Plex Privacy etc. They are not what they used to be and I strongly dislike the company now and use Emby instead.
Every update seems I'm having to fight plex inspired rentals, channels, linking of subscription apps. Always having to double check what new privacy concern or money grab they've enabled on my sidebar or in settings.
I've got it pretty neutered at this point and it works for me and my environment but if I was starting over I'd go with Jelly. I've got the jelly container that i update and spin up every now and then and see how far they've come and if it's worth a complete swap yet. Almost imo.
One random plex pass feature I recently noticed. On plexamp it lets you import the highly regarded Oratory1990 equalizer settings for almost all well known high end headphones. Super niche but very neat feature.
