Unsure why this is downvoted. $60 before taxes for the 2021 Kindle Paperwhite, even refurb (which is $124.99 on amazon for the refurb), seems like a really good deal. Will have to check out the quality on refurb but it says shipped and sold by amazon so seems like a good deal given the minor differences between this and newest Kindle Paperwhite. In for 1 to replace my 2016 kindle basic.

I think maybe because some people find deals from Woot are either a hit or miss? People also frequently argue that their support and returns are not that great.
Though my experience has been positive so far. I just received a Kindle 2019 through this: https://slickdeals.net/share/android_app/fp/1024482 and found it is almost new! Otherwise would have grabbed one.

Fair enough, I've generally had good experiences with Woot but its the risk you take with site like that. For a near 40-50% off an electronic like this its worth the risk to me since its an Amazon product from an Amazon owned company. Thanks for the deal!

I'm pretty sure returb wasn't in the title originally, so the alerts went out with misleading information.

I've been buying Paperwhites since the first Gen came out. I paid $83 back in November 2021 for this Paperwhite brand new and this Gen had just dropped.

During the next Prime Day when the prices have come down to normal, I'll probably trade it in for the Newest Gen Paperwhite and I expect to pay around $70ish.

Had this model and I wasn't impressed with the contrast, especially in night mode due to how the backlight is set up. Otherwise, USB-C charging is nice and a big improvement over micro-usb. I did have issues with phantom touches (certain spot on screen kept highlighting on its own) from new.
