T-mobile has a hidden plan for 30GB data a month data plan (you get your own sim and need your own device).
I got a cellular modem for $40:
https://www.netgear.com/home/mobile-wifi/lte-modems/lm1200/ [netgear.com] and was able to use it with T-mobile's provided sim card.
Call in or use their online chat to inquire about the "Basic Mobile Internet 30GB plan (SOC: MI30TE or MI30TI)". It is $15/mo but you get a $5/mo discount by using autopay.
If you can't repro then you suck. This also provides you with a phone number for the data account and you get access to t-mobile tuesdays despite it only being a data plan

Bought an unlocked Inseego M2000 on FB Marketplace for $30 that I'll use with the SIM card.
Also, I posted earlier a question on how to create a T-Mobile login because they didn't provide me a phone # upon signup. T-Mobile emailed it to me 24 hours after ordering; was able to create an account no issue, including full visibility to the plan being set up correctly and allowing me to sign up for autopay for the $5/mo off. No SMS/2FA required.
Looks like I'll be good to go shortly :-)

Follow-up: I got them to sign me up for the plan after multiple calls. They charged my account but the service still hasn't been activated yet. Called T-Mobile again and they put me on hold or transferred me repeatedly for hours. Dealing with T-Mobile and their Philippines call centers is just not worth it.
