T-mobile has a hidden plan for 30GB data a month data plan (you get your own sim and need your own device).

I got a cellular modem for $40: https://www.netgear.com/home/mobile-wifi/lte-modems/lm1200/ [netgear.com] and was able to use it with T-mobile's provided sim card.

Call in or use their online chat to inquire about the "Basic Mobile Internet 30GB plan (SOC: MI30TE or MI30TI)". It is $15/mo but you get a $5/mo discount by using autopay.

If you can't repro then you suck. This also provides you with a phone number for the data account and you get access to t-mobile tuesdays despite it only being a data plan Smilie

I should addd this.
If you bought the Netgear modem from B& H for $29
By the external antennas for $18.
I went from speed of 1 to speed of 9 down by adding two cheap antennas
Went from unusable to working great.
List the modem and the antenna please?

Does anyone know if you can use this in Canada on the road?
Honestly, I doubt Tmo would include international roaming data with such a cheap plan, so I would say probably not.

I called TMobile and the telephone operator claimed that the lowest price for that plan was $40/month with autopay. Do you think TMobile is lying now that so many people are signing up for this deal?

I signed up to the plan ($15/mo inclusive of tax, $10/mo with the Autopay discount) on Thursday 1/2/2025 via the Costco phone number. I provided them the SOC code indicated in this thread. They waived the $10 activation fee. SIM card is scheduled for delivery via UPS today; free shipping. The sign-up was completed on the first call. No transferring around was required and the rep found the plan immediately upon supplying the SOC code.

Bought an unlocked Inseego M2000 on FB Marketplace for $30 that I'll use with the SIM card.

Also, I posted earlier a question on how to create a T-Mobile login because they didn't provide me a phone # upon signup. T-Mobile emailed it to me 24 hours after ordering; was able to create an account no issue, including full visibility to the plan being set up correctly and allowing me to sign up for autopay for the $5/mo off. No SMS/2FA required.

Looks like I'll be good to go shortly :-)

Follow-up: I got them to sign me up for the plan after multiple calls. They charged my account but the service still hasn't been activated yet. Called T-Mobile again and they put me on hold or transferred me repeatedly for hours. Dealing with T-Mobile and their Philippines call centers is just not worth it.

I just signed up for this plan over chat today so it is still working for those looking into it. Not sure why it is marked as expired.

I just signed up for this plan by calling Costco Wireless today. I provided the SOC code to the representative, and the process went smoothly. The BOGO 50% off promotion is still running, so I ordered two lines for $15.

Just a heads up: if you use the SIM card on a mobile phone, you won't be able to make phone calls, but you can use SMS, and I believe it's unlimited."

Does anyone know what happens after you used 30G before the month is up? Is it not usable completely or it's still usable but just at slower speed? Thanks!
