Just ordered this, can you elaborate on the firmware update? Why is the firmware from some random website instead of Orico? Do you trust downloads from that site?

The chipset is realtek, 9210 so the updates are taken from other manufacturers, basically they are all the same. Orico is terrible at releasing firmwares. As for trust, its used and monitored by many, so would be big news if it got compromised.

I have a few of these and just bought another. They work well and the heatsink gets nice and warm (which is a good thing). You can easily run them caseless as well which is nice. Rubber hold down nub is cool.
