Nice looking hammer. If you just need a durable 3-4 pounder, I recommend the 4# Hypertough as an alternative for $10. We have beaten the snot out of them pounding metal wedges into seasoned oak rounds and they have been (surprisingly) solid.

Must resist; already have 20+ hammers or mallets. The last one from Lowes was the Engineers hammer with cross peen tip. Yes, shorter handles like the above seems so easy to pick up and use, for those critical adjustments or dislodging efforts.

Hart made my favorite 4# and they were bought by Walmart and I think merged it with this hammer.
