Regardless of if you're using a 4K TV or a 1080p, I'd highly recommend at least getting the 4K version of the firestick as it will run much smoother.
The current 4K version seems to be equivalent to the original 4K Max (but with the current OS). The new 4k max (above) has a faster processor, more ram (0.5GB more), 16GB Storage.
It's $10 more, but if you use the firetv often, it's probably worth it for the less hassle you'll have with it
