Nope, You must activate with their service to begin with. Then once it reaches 60-days from the date of activation, your phone will fully unlocked
Without activation from the beginning, it will never ever going to be unlocked whatsoever.

I've been using this phone as a secondary. Main is an S24U. It's quite good if you set the right expectations

Pros
- Nice build, even though plastic, the leather back feels nice
- 1080p 120Hz display
- Pretty solid upper entry-level chip, does not lag at all in daily tasks
- 8GB RAM means you can multitask
- 128GB + microSD, I don't take many photos or videos with it, but the storage is there
- serviceable camera array. Main camera has OIS, which is nice on a budget device. Ultrawide is there just to say it has an UW. Photos come out very processed, but fine.
- Dual speakers, not the best, but OK. Call quality has no problems.

Cons
- Heavy af
- Too tall due to giant bezels, taller than my S24U
- Coming from the S24U, the keyboard is thin, making each button skinnier so mistyped keys are more frequent
- Low light photos and video are potato if you're used to flagship, but still fine for a budget phone
- Screen is not very bright, will not be readable in sunlight or even some overcast days
- Motorola software lacks features that say, OneUI has, but some might consider this a pro - honestly back maybe 4 yrs ago, stock Android vs custom skins was great but now manufacturers have so many actually usable features in their skins that stock is a bit underwhelming

I picked up 2 phones from Walmart and both have same issue. I called customer service to activate the phones and they said to go back to walmart. Then after some discussion , they asked me to send emailt to pop @ tracfone . com with proof of purchase and told me that in 48hrs , they should be able to verify the purchase and response back.

Sent the email and waiting for response.

Also tax (twice).
$39.88 + $35 + $35 right? And Walmart prod description says family plan starts at $25 is that true?

Hello what is RAM boost 2
It is a Motorola software that utilized the phone's storage space (128gb) to make an additional ram size (2 or 4gb more). But there is a risk to it that sometimes your phone doesn't work right and needs to reboot.

So this comes with 4gb or 8gb? According to the spec on Walmart page which said 4gb.

It's the 2024 Model Moto G Power which only comes in 8GB according to GSMarena, so the specification is wrong. The description also says the phone has 8GB RAM, expandable to 16GB with RAM Boost.

Straight talk ▶ Tracfone Brand, Used to be AT&T Network, but Since Verizon Wireless Bought in 2021, it became fully operated in the Verizon network.
60-Days to get unlocked, No need to keep for 60-days, Just activated for first mo, Take the advantage of the free phone, and leave it un-serviced phone until it reaches 60-days. Once at that point, it will became unlocked, or unlock guide will be sent to your phone.
I got in on the $49 G power deal from Straight Talk several months ago. I purchased the Silver plan for a month, then put the phone in the drawer. After 2 months, it was still locked. I chatted with Straight Talk and they said I need to keep activated another 30 days to get it unlocked. They refused to unlock it on chat. I never activated it again and it's still locked after 3 plus months.

So in my case, leaving the phone un-serviced after 30 days hasn't done anything towards unlocking the phone. Just a heads up from my experience.

I have a moto g stylus (2022) that I'm using on Verizon which gets laggy for unknown reasons.
I should be able to purchase this, wait for 60 days and activate on Verizon, right?
Also, I assume this is a better phone that the tracfone deal posted for 49.98.

Thanks

That's strange because many of us bought the deal last summer for free with plan and they did unlock (after glitch got fixed). I personally had 3 of these unlock with just 30 days of service so support doesn't know what they're talking about. I assume you activated the phone and made a call to verify it was activated correctly?

Price will vary depending on sales tax, state cell taxes etc. (some states are higher than others). After initial month you can change plan to whatever ST plan works best or let plan expire, wait another month & phone will unlock - making it usable on whatever network you want. ST is month to month

Oh yes, definitely made calls with it once it was activated. Was only a backup phone of course, but it was fully functional for the 30 days of service. I may try again with chat to see if they will unlock it. Maybe a different CSR could make the difference. They definitely refused to do so the first time. Wouldn't budge an inch.

Definitely push back and if you still can't get it unlocked file an FCC complaint - that gets a response from higher level support within a few days & they will get it unlocked.

I think you need to have two consecutive recharges to make sure it gets unlocked on 60th day. Else the phone will be deactivated after 30 days and after another 30 days your number will be lost. Then u have to recharge twice to get into the full cycle to unlock the phone .
No you don't.
Read ANY of the many ST, TW, or TF threads on SD - only 30 days active service required, then wait another 30 days (inactive) and phone unlocks. I just had another one unlock 2 days ago after 60 days with only the original 30 days paid service - read unlock policy, it's available online.
