I pulled the trigger, because my Iphone 11s were on their last leg. I paid $200 upfront for activation and taxes. I got two iPhone 16 Plus with unlimited 75GB plans for $128 a month total with fees and taxes. I was paying $115 a month, so not a bad deal for me. Plus, I didn't have to trade in my phones. BTW, I have a medical professional discount they applied for $20.

All the "free phones" require a plan. The option I liked about this one was that you don't have to trade in your existing phone. Plus at $11 a month for the phone for 36 months it comes out to around $400 for a $1000 phone.

yeah, if you don't take into account the plan that you pay for.
I pay now 150$ year for mint. With ATT minimum is like what? 52$ month? That means almost 40$ more per month. That's almost 500$ extra per year. In 3 years 1500$. Extra.
Nope, not a good deal. Unless you need an expensive plan
Or unless you are allowed to cancel the plan after one month and pay only for the phone. Is that possible?

Good deal except that you have to be on an expensive monthly plan. So in reality the phone cost you about $2-3000.

I'm paying $131 for their unlimited plan for two iPhones. That includes cost of phones, taxes and fees. I think that's a pretty good deal.

It's okay, not a pretty good deal as you say.
So about $5,000 over 3 years that you committed to.
It would have been cheaper if you bought those phones unlocked from Apple store and use an MVNO (typically $25-35/month for unlimited).
Would have close to the same price. Would have been $2000 for phones. Plus $35 x 2 = $70. $70 x 36 = $2520. Plus, all those providers like mint, boost etc… have a cap on the 5G and are second tier on other networks. I don't have to worry about that with AT&T.

But again you are using Mint. You cannot compare deprioritized MVNO with a regular career.
