It's been just one card in years past, and the $15 Amazon gift card had to be used within a specific time and only for things sold by Amazon.

Remember the good old days when they use to do 15-20% off the actual price of the cards?

Yes, you can stack gift cards from Apple, Target, Best Buy, Amazon and just about anywhere else.

If you take said stack to any of the aforementioned retailers, they will only allow you to use those gift cards that are specific for that retailer at that establishment. So if they are all Apple gift cards, you could then redeem all of them at Apple.

Last year I bought two HomePod 2's and an AppleTV for the living room and a BTO MacBook Air 15" (24/2TB from the edu store during back to school sale) for my wife. Earlier this year I bought an iPhone 15 Pro Max 1TB and in 2022 we bought an iPhone 14 PM 1TB (also for wife) and an Apple Watch Ultra (price matched to Amazon or Bestbuy for a better deal). We also have some month to month AppleCare plans and 2x 2TB iCloud that we pay from our account balance loaded up with gift cards. I always stock up on discounted cards when they are available.

Also there is usually another gift card promotion across target, Best Buy, and amazon in the spring where you could stock up for back to school.

I was thinking of waiting for the Mac mini until back to school after getting $500 gc for 371 effectively but may not be worth it because with incoming tariffs on China and Mexico the price of goods may rise pretty fast. I don't have an urgent need for it but if the prices rise than that $100 gc benefit would be negated but it's all speculation for now

Best Buy is actually a better deal. Almost all the Paypal accounts will have the 5% cash back offer for Best Buy, and you get another 5% cash back for Paypal from Chase. There is also this cash back site that offers 2% cash back on Best Buy (this cash back includes gift card purchases). Even with the Discover's 5% cash back, you're missing 7% if you don't buy from Best Buy.

Well, the SD listing states "Starting 11/29" and then in the description it says "Offer valid 11/29 - 12/1"

If you haven't redeemed it yet you can try Amazon for a refund, or maybe to see if they'll throw you a $10 courtesy credit... But the terms is the terms man. Otherwise, have to wait until the offer begins (and you will see a banner on the page when the promo is running).

I think only Apple will allow a refund of an unused gift card if you call them within a certain time frame, I think 48 hours. They did that for me once a while back, but likely only because I bought it from them directly.

oh yeah! Just load all the gcs into your apple account so that way when you order a phone, you can just pay from your account balance instead of gcs directly. The max your account can hold is $2k.
