You're overthinking it, says it's the Visible+ Annual plan which is $395/year taxes and fees included so you're basically getting the iPhone 13 for free.

  1. Open line with other mvno like Tello/Ultra etc. (Optional).
  2. Create new account with Visible using different email, name, payment etc.
  3. Buy plan and port.
  4. My understanding is that you need to activate plan using iPhone 13 and then you can switch the phone immediately. This is needed to get iPhone 13 unlocked in 60 days (automatically). This is exactly I plan to do since I already have latest iPhone but having burner phone is a good kickback.

Bonus: check wiki after first post to get the plan cheaper.

In our area, we get good coverage from both T-Mobile and Verizon. The Visible deal is good for the $395, plus the Chase credit. The Mint deal for the Pixel 9 is another option for $479, with the much newer phone. Both require port-ins, and both unlock in 60 days. Does anyone here have experience with both Visible and Mint? I've heard customer service is terrible with both of them. The Visible plan offered seems to give a lot more regarding features.

How does the port in process work? It ports your number over before you ve received the iPhone 13? So you're without a phone until?

Nobody is buying a legit annual plan for under $150 annual so the deal obviously favors Visible with the free iphone 13. If the straighttalk buyer has no use for an unlimited plan and can by with one of those really cheap budget plans for $60-$100 annual plan, it may make more sense to go straighttalk route or if the verizon coverage is bad, straighttalk may be better option.

For me, I get coverage fine with all 3 carriers. T-mobile is definitely the most powerful 5G (smokes both att and verizon) but to my surprise the Verizon has the best "shaded darkest green" cell coverage on the coverage map even more than ATT and T-mobile. Verizon is lower on the download/uploaded but it is still plenty strong enough. I can happily use any of them.

I am currently using att mvno (dailydriver) and t-mobile mvno for my cellphones. For my home phone, I am actually using Straighttalk (verizon) home plan setup. I always have solid verizon reception at home.

Your phone continues to work with your old provider till you activate on Visible. My number was ported yesterday and it is still working with the previous provider and the phone is on its way.

I am debating between iphone 13 + visible+ annual plan $395, great $20 a month Visible Plan for two years with $25 gift card and also the Pixel 9 $479 deal. My current annual plan expires soon so I am definitely looking to upgrade with a great annual plan but I am happy with my Samsung Galaxy A54 and I could use it happily for more years. The iphone 13 is more of bonus free gift phone worth paying for with the annual plan but I can't see myself using it as my dailydriver in the long run. Plus I already have an iphone SE 2022 (gathering dust) with the same processor as the iphone 13. The Pixel 9 is an absolute beast spec phone. Overkill specs for me but that deal looks tempting but I am more into the samsung ecosystem.

There is also a Samsung Galaxy S24 FE cricket deal at $99 deal but plans are quite pricey. Too much like my Galaxy A54 so it feels little bit redundant.

Updated: I just ported to Visible. I got the 2 year for $20 per month deal with $25 gift card instead. Plus got a sweet $60 bonus too on top of all that. I like my current Samsung phone and couldn't see myself using the iphone 13 as my daily driver. I seriously considered the Pixel 9 but I am enjoying my Samsung.

So we've been happy with visible+ but wanted a new phone. Not worried about paying for a whole year since it's been good so far and includes Apple Watch. They don't do much for loyal customers so I gave it a shot - I ported to tello and then back to visible with a new account. The order went through and the activation is pending. Hope it finishes as smooth as it's gone so far.

Is there a way to do this promo to get free iPhone 313, keep using your existing phone, all while keeping the iPhone new in box? Or do you have to physically open the iPhone to start the service with it before switching back to you old phone?

I just chatted with Visible customer support and the rep told me that my old line with US Mobile will continue to work until I activate the new phone, and there's no time limit on when you activate the new phone. However, I remember that when I obtained the port-out account number and PIN from US Mobile, the rep told me that the information is only good for 7 days. I doubt that is really the case, but it may mean that they automatically put back a port-out hold on your line after 7 days if the port-out doesn't happen, so if you activate the new phone after 7 days, I would be expecting some issues with the port-out which you will have to work with US Mobile and Visible at that time to re-attempt the porting, but it does sound like you can drag out the activation a little bit.
