For some reason, this took a little bit of work. I've had two previous accounts that I've been canceled, but I wouldn't give me the offer so I had to use an alternate email address and alternate credit card as well to get the offer to work.

The CEO just let slip on an earnings call that Disney makes more profit on the ad-supported version so the ad-free price was increased to drive people to the ad-supported version.

It's limited in terms of the show sharing between Disney+ and Hulu. If anything they will push more Hulu content to Disney rather the other way around. They want to be able to upsell you.

Chatted w/rep. There's a known issue with resubs not being able to get the deal, too many resubscribers. Keep trying through Dec. 2; and, they'll send you a personalized link with the deal for future use. Doesn't hurt to keep trying and escalate closer to expiration if necessary.

I used the deal last year. Unusable for watching Hulu as there is a 2 minute ad for every 10 minutes of content. Still worth it for my kid just to have Disney+. There are no ads on the lowest age bracket, although some shows are unavailable. In the older age brackets the ads are still much less than on Hulu.

I signed up and got charged the 99c. But how does this work when it reads that it expires the same day you activate it? Does it just keep renewing itself for another 11 months @ 99c, or do i have to do something? Thanks.

I do this every year, rotating two different email accounts. Worked again this year. I just had to log out of my current account, which I actually cancelled last month. Logged into my account from last year, same password and credit card, and it worked.
