For some reason, this took a little bit of work. I've had two previous accounts that I've been canceled, but I wouldn't give me the offer so I had to use an alternate email address and alternate credit card as well to get the offer to work.

The CEO just let slip on an earnings call that Disney makes more profit on the ad-supported version so the ad-free price was increased to drive people to the ad-supported version.

I just canceled my 99 cent deal a month because quite honestly there's nothing to watch on there. Is not even worth $0.99 a month.
I don't get this. Are you just super picky or something?

I'm glad this finally dropped since last year's deal expired for me two days ago. I was also able to tack on Starz for $0.99/month. So I get Hulu, Disney, and Starz for $3.96/month. Hoping for a Paramount deal now.

I get sick of these "deals" that never work. I've signed in with old account, signing up new, from phone from computer... Never shows the offer. If people would explain how they got the deal it would be nice.

Make sure u are logged out of all old accounts. Clear cookies & history. Once I did that I used the link from the OP & it took me straight to the deal. I use three different emails on rotation & had to use the one from 2 years ago.

Hmm. Tried three emails, they all are throwing an error when it prompts me to add a payment method, it just keeps looping me back to the screen where it let's me select the $.99 plan, but when I select it and go next, it throws the error, then sends me right back. Cleared browser cache and cookies. Anyone else getting this?

Last year I signed up using Hulu.com and this year with Disney plus Wesbite. Didn't have to create new accounts in this process.

In the past I have only ever done the Hulu deal, but I might combine it with Disney for 2.99/month. For anyone that has done the combo before, is it possible to cancel the D+ sub a few months in and still hold onto the $1/month Hulu deal, or does it live and die by the package?
Great question! I would have have done that...Ended up just doing $1 Hulu. I can tell that you cannot add Disney for the $2 afterwards....

I am not willing to pay to watch ads. It's cheap, sure. But the ads are hardly tolerable.
Then any streaming deals aren't for you. Pay full price. Most people can tolerate ads.

Since it doesn't appear that I can add this to an existing subscription, if I cancel my subscription, will I be able to activate immediately again using the same account or will I need to create a whole new account?

You have to create a new account. I have to do it every year

Hold up, where's that Starz add-on we got last year 😒

Yes, Starz sucks, but I need to finish Power Book 2 and Power Book 4 (when it's released in Spring '25)

Oh snap! Thank you for mentioning it. As you can see I was literally wondering about it yesterday. I'd checked in the add-on section but Starz was showing regular price.

I wonder if this just started again or they only have it at the specific link (see below). Either way it looks like they've upped it to 12-months instead of the six we got last year.

Edit: I think it must've just started today along with the Black Friday deal moving to the main Hulu landing page, from the GMA early access page it was at

If you don't want to create new email to sign up. You can simply append "+number" in your email, hulu will think it's a new email but you will get email on your regular email.
Example: [email protected]
You can sign up as [email protected] and still get emails on your [email protected] account.

Thanks, guess I'll be adding it at signup just to be safe, and worst case I'll keep it. There are a few shows I need to catch up on for Disney, plus the Simpsons and Deadpool&Wolverine, and eventually Inside Out 2 and Moana 2... for $24-26 annually I might as well just eat that lol

Do they do a commercial-free version of this?
Have never ever seen a deal for no=adds. Unless you count the 7 day - 1 month for free "get you hooked, hope you forget to cancel" offer.
