For some reason, this took a little bit of work. I've had two previous accounts that I've been canceled, but I wouldn't give me the offer so I had to use an alternate email address and alternate credit card as well to get the offer to work.

The CEO just let slip on an earnings call that Disney makes more profit on the ad-supported version so the ad-free price was increased to drive people to the ad-supported version.

This is what I would like to know, did you find out?
No, I'll just eat the cost and get both. Worst case I am $24-26 out of pocket with a list of D+ shows and movies I needed to catch up on. Considering I was willing to buy that Terminator 6 pack for $25, this is probably a better use of my money lol

I'm glad this finally dropped since last year's deal expired for me two days ago. I was also able to tack on Starz for $0.99/month. So I get Hulu, Disney, and Starz for $3.96/month. Hoping for a Paramount deal now.
The good Paramount deal happened a couple months ago, when they had the yearly plans half-off. With Capital One Offers adding $13 back, the lower tier was just $17 for a year.

They currently already have their Black Friday deal up but it's not good. Just two months of $2.99 per month.

I think the better deal now would be thru Walmart+, which is currently at 50%-off again. $50 for both Walmart+ and Paramount+. Although it's only a good deal if you use Walmart+. Or if there's a credit card or cashback site offer to go with it to bring the price down even further.

Certainly let us know know the outcome of your situation. Would also be good to know if interest income is applicable.

Since it doesn't appear that I can add this to an existing subscription, if I cancel my subscription, will I be able to activate immediately again using the same account or will I need to create a whole new account?
I do that every year. Cancel on one email, starting a new one on a different email.

I added the period to my email and it worked. Couldn't get any old email to work. Thanks OP!

I had the deal last year Hulu and D+ with ads, the ads were so bad on Disney I could not watch, it was insane, ad before the show, ad right after into...and not short ads, like 2 mins each, I just closed it and canceled it.

We haven't really watched TV much, but thinking of getting something so we can stream occasionally, especially for our 6 yo. Is it worth it getting the Disney plus deal over just Hulu for kids?

Then any streaming deals aren't for you. Pay full price. Most people can tolerate ads.
Not me, I can't stand ads breaking up what I'm watching.

Was able to use an old account and activate 2.99 duo bundle along with STARZ for a total of 3.98 per month for one year. PayPal did not work, had to use a CC. Interestingly no way to add ESPN+

With 2FA, Hulu is not working on Apple TV (known issue I guess.. need to find out what's the solution)…but working on other streaming devices…

Creating a new account wipes all your history tho... Finding your shows fo continue watching, finding the right episode, your saved for later movies takes time, but that's exactly how they want you to feel - make you feel stuck so you don't leave. Buncha bitches

Same boat: Thankfully, yes.
I chatted with Hulu to change my full-price paused subscription to the $0.99 BF promotion. Next bill date is July for 13 cents! (Then $0.99/mo until Nov '25)

Hold up, where's that Starz add-on we got last year 😒

Yes, Starz sucks, but I need to finish Power Book 2 and Power Book 4 (when it's released in Spring '25)

Edit: it's back! https://www.hulu.com/starz
Now that Starz is back, I just need Prime Video add-on deals to come back.

Last year got two months of BritBox for like $1 per month, which was great.

BritBox themselves currently have a sucky Black Friday deal, two months at $4 per month.

Edit: it's back! At $2.25 per month for two months via Prime Video

You might initiate a Chat session on the Hulu page and see if they would refund the full price charge for the month, worth a try.
