For some reason, this took a little bit of work. I've had two previous accounts that I've been canceled, but I wouldn't give me the offer so I had to use an alternate email address and alternate credit card as well to get the offer to work.

The CEO just let slip on an earnings call that Disney makes more profit on the ad-supported version so the ad-free price was increased to drive people to the ad-supported version.

For those having trouble with this:

My hulu + disney just expired today. I clicked the link above and signed up through Disney and it went through with no problem. I had to re-activate hulu, through the disney plus site. But I didn't have any issues using the same email or credit card.

Since it doesn't appear that I can add this to an existing subscription, if I cancel my subscription, will I be able to activate immediately again using the same account or will I need to create a whole new account?

I just did this with a cancel date of 11/27. The offer shows in my act today.

Thanks, guess I'll be adding it at signup just to be safe, and worst case I'll keep it. There are a few shows I need to catch up on for Disney, plus the Simpsons and Deadpool&Wolverine, and eventually Inside Out 2 and Moana 2... for $24-26 annually I might as well just eat that lol
Yeah the Deadpool/Wolverine almost got me....If I knew they were going to continue with Moon Knight I would have. When I had Disney + I just wasn't really using it much

I'm getting an error when trying to check out. Says we cannot process your request right now. This is with a brand new email since my old emails with them did not qualify and new variations of my gmail with periods added in between also did not work. They must be clamping down.

How do you cancel the auto renewal? I can't find it anywhere on the account info.

I've alternated between 2 accounts every year for the past 4 years so far. Account 1 expires today so I canceled, and I was just able to get the deal on account 2 this year. It wouldn't let me renew on account 1 today, possibly because it doesn't expire until end of day.

Glad I waited this one out. Today I was able to activate this on an account I used over a year ago vs. needing to do the whole new email/new card method.

There is no longer a way to disable the auto renewal on your account! Make sure to put it in your calendar to cancel your account before it automatically renews at the higher rate.

How does the Hulu Disney Combo show up in your account? Last year, it was a 99-cent subscription plus a Disney add-on for $2. Is it similar this year? I wonder if I can get the bundle and turn off the Disney part to keep only the Hulu at some point during the year, or if I get the bundle, do I have to keep them both for the 12 months?

Now that Starz is back, I just need Prime Video add-on deals to come back.

Last year got two months of BritBox for like $1 per month, which was great.

BritBox themselves currently have a sucky Black Friday deal, two months at $4 per month.

If you have Amazon Prime, the Britbox price is $4.50 for two months.
Yes, I just checked that! ☺️
It's back at $2.25 per month for two months. Not sure if that's the same as we had last year.

The good thing about Prime Video subscriptions is you can use your No Rush Rewards to pay for them. The payment automatically processes available rewards first.

No, it's not the same and that's a good point.

I noticed this year if you choose to get both Hulu and Disney+ at the $2.99 deal it's now subscribed as a bundle and not an add-on.

This is important because now you can't downgrade away from Disney+ if you change your mind down the road. Last year you could just remove the Disney+ add-on. This year you'd have to cancel the bundle and lose both.

My plan from last year's deal expires in Jan so I guess I will have to wait till it ends before I can sign up for the deal again.

Open new account with new email, that's what I did

I was on some sort of deal with Hulu at $2 or $3 a month AND apparently my deal with Disney had expired so I was paying $10/month.

Clicked on the bundle link and I have both Hulu with ads and Disney with ads for the next year for $1/month.

Just signed up for hulu + starz for total of $1.98 /month for 12 months. I setup a payment with discover card that I never use for anything so I'm getting these streaming subscription for free.
