I still have 2 months left on my free 3 months of the Trio Bundle from DMI... Would my best bet be to sign up and pause right away?

Tbh ads are fine for movies. 1-2 mins of ads every 30 40 mins is not bad. It's the 20 30 mins episodes that suck. Ad at 0 secs. Ad after intro song. Ads in the middle. Ad at end which why the f will we see when we want to move on to the next episode and will see ads again at the beginning. If you watch 2 3 episodes it's going to suck hard.

Since it doesn't appear that I can add this to an existing subscription, if I cancel my subscription, will I be able to activate immediately again using the same account or will I need to create a whole new account?
Asking the right questions? I tried but I doesn't let me sign up.

100% of email providers support the +alias extension, and about 90% of websites treat this as a unique account record.
Unfortunately yahoo does not support it

I couldn't find the info, but does anyone know if this works outside the U.S.? i.e. if I can purchase it in the U.S. but my parents use it in a foreign country where Disney+ does service. I obviously won't be using Disney+ in the U.S. But it doesn't seem like Hulu is available in the country where my parents are. In that case, can I use Hulu in the U.S. but my parents use Disney+ in the foreign country without triggering some kind of sharing block mechanism?

Since when did people start being comfortable with paying to watch ads? Ads were supposed to be the alternative. Much less the audacity to claim it is a deal! Is inflation really this bad?

Yes it works. No sharing block has taken effect yet. I use it in that way.
However, Disney has been saying they'll be cracking down on sharing soon for the past 6 months.

This is the method that worked for me. Who knows how it will work next year. For reference, it did not work on last year's Hulu account or an account from many years ago.

I first logged into my Hulu account from last year, having failed to get the promotional rate.

Then I went to disneyplus.com and got the rate offer. I signed up with last year's Hulu email and was having success. Got all the way through. Went to my Disney account and it said I was on the $10.99 plan but my PayPal charge was $2.99 plus tax. In my Disney account details it showed Hulu with an "activate services" link.

I clicked the link and my Hulu account, from last year that was still logged in, immediately came up with an "activation successful" screen. My profiles and history were intact. I didn't think to try this years account that just canceled and frankly didn't want to risk it.

I'm sure it's because this year's Hulu account had a Disney Plus account and last year's didn't. The account I just cancelled was the first time I added Disney Plus.

Hope this helps!

The Hulu BF 2022 deal had D+ no ads add-on for $2.99 more. I held on to it watching it go from $4.98 to $10.99 then finally had to cancel when it was $13+ because I didn't watch it enough.I few of my friends still have the $13-something plan grandfathered in from 2022 BF with D+ no-ads. Worth it if you watch it enough. $20 is ridiculous
I was grandfathered into that 2.99/m D+ no-ads deal too. After the initial BF deal ended, I was only paying $6 a month for hulu (with ads) and disney+(with no ads) because when I went to cancel it, hulu would always offer me 6 months of hulu for 2.99 a month. I did it multiple times until finally this month when I was about to cancel, hulu won't offer me that deal anymore for some reason.
Now with the recent price hike, hulu is 9.99 a month and the disney+ no ads is 3.99 a month. I don't watch disney plus enough either to pay $14 a month for both these services. 😕

online services like streaming and social media do extensive AB testing to determine precisely what level of tolerance consumers have to ads and other monetization. Expect every experience and surface to have ads at some point in the future.
