For some reason, this took a little bit of work. I've had two previous accounts that I've been canceled, but I wouldn't give me the offer so I had to use an alternate email address and alternate credit card as well to get the offer to work.

The CEO just let slip on an earnings call that Disney makes more profit on the ad-supported version so the ad-free price was increased to drive people to the ad-supported version.

Have had Hulu for a day, and it's insanely horrible with the ads. The ad breaks are 2 minutes long every 10 minutes lol. Also I can't find Disney anywhere on the app

At this point, they'd have to pay ME for me to watch with ads. Never again.

I like having the scheduled breaks to use the bathroom or grab a snack. I hate having the family pause a show for me.

Since it doesn't appear that I can add this to an existing subscription, if I cancel my subscription, will I be able to activate immediately again using the same account or will I need to create a whole new account?

Have to make a new account. I had one i canceled beginning of Nov and one from last year. This deal was not available for either so i just used a third email.

I signed up, tried watching a show, then cancelled the subscription after the 2nd set of ads.

Don't forget the 1 year they got too big for their britches and thought they were worth $1.99.

We showed them!

Yes, the different credit card is key. I learned this a few years ago with some of these subscription deals. FYI if you are in the USA you can use the incredible (and free) Privacy.com app that generated any amount of virtual cards you need from your bank account. You can set them to any amount, once, recurring or forever and close them any time. It's incredible in general but especially for these types of deals. Comes right out of my account. Brand new credit card.

The advertising companies. Apparently they pay quite a lot if Disney is getting more than $10/mo per viewer from them.

🤬🤬🤬🤬 i usually switch between my gmail and yahoo addresses, and it's worked for years, but this time they're telling me both are ineligible (obviously the one I used last year would be, but I figured the one I used 2 years ago would be eligible now).

Guess I'm going to have to use a 3rd email and set up my queue all over again.

or just not sign up at all 🤷 ♂️

hulu told me i was ineligible as soon as i logged in, before i had the chance to change my billing info (my card was pre-filled on the billing page, and changing it made no difference).

I was able to sign up by tacking on +disney to the email address, without having to get an a third email. Like: [email protected]. I had to sign up with a new Hulu account though. I don't know if this will work with any provider or just Gmail.
