For some reason, this took a little bit of work. I've had two previous accounts that I've been canceled, but I wouldn't give me the offer so I had to use an alternate email address and alternate credit card as well to get the offer to work.

The CEO just let slip on an earnings call that Disney makes more profit on the ad-supported version so the ad-free price was increased to drive people to the ad-supported version.

I have the Amex Platinum, so $20/mo streaming credit. They dropped Sirius, so the only thing I can use it for is Disney/Hulu (I used November credit to get Peacock for the year for free). I'm thinking the best value is to sub to no ads Disney, then this 99c Hulu and Starz add on, which should put me right at the $20. If I do the Diseny/Hulu no ads bundles, it'd be $20 plus tax, so have to pay the tax, plus no Starz. I don't watch a ton of Hulu so ads aren't too big of a deal. They kill me on Disney tho during Marvel and Star Wars shows. Anyone have a better plan or gotchas?
I did the hulu + disney bundle for 2.99, with add-on of Hbo Max (no ads) for $16.99

I subscribed to just Hulu for $0.99; now I am trying to add Disney+ (like how I did last year) but there is no option to add just Disney+, instead there is an option to choose Hulu with Disney+ for $10.99; Is there a way to get Disney+ for additional $2

I don't want to cancel the Hulu for $0.99 and then create another account for the Hulu with Disney+, because then I will loose all the history I have with the current account. TIA

Thinking of switching to this from Disney Plus Legacy $22 per month. But I'm thinking Disney is trying to make people like me jump ship and remove the plan.
254$ vs $60 per year..

I got greedy, and have inadvertently locked myself out of this Slickdeal. Jumped on the deal for 6 mos of Hulu for $2.99 and Disney+ for $2 the day prior to this deal being released, thinking that was going to be the best deal. I just tried to switch to this new deal for 1 year $2.99 for both Hulu and Disney+ with my other email, and was offered Hulu only for $1, but Hulu+Disney+ for $10.99. Any ideas how to fix this?
You can't switch the previous deal that you signed up for but if you meant to say that you're also trying to sign up for this deal then you should be able to do that. Are you using a different credit card than you used on the other offer or just a different e-mail address? If you are also using a different credit card then I would try a different browser and see if that if allows you to get the promotion price for Hulu & Disney+.

I've got 3 email addresses I've used over the years for this deal but it looks like the credit card you use has to be the thing that hasn't been used recently. ugh.

I did the same thing. So then I had to make sure I was logged out of my hulu account then used an email from a hulu account from 2 years ago (last year's wouldn't work) to get the new deal (duo bundle for $2.99/month, then added starz). I also used a different credit card. In a couple of weeks I'll cancel the 6 month deal.

For people complaining about ads, it's $1. It's one freaking dollar. Talk about making a mountain out of mole hill.
For people saying it's just $1, wrong. It's $1 plus a running 20% of all your watch time. How much is your time worth?

Yeah that's that I had to do and lost all my history. Not aware of any way around it.

Yes I tried to sign up for both deals on separate accounts/separate emails, with the intention of cancelling the more expensive deal once I locked in the better deal. I was able to get the $0.99 for Hulu and locked that in (with a different credit card) thinking I would be offered the Disney+ add on for $1.99 more, but was not offered that. I will try a different browser but I'm not hopeful.

Update:
Tried a different browser with the same result. I'm not getting the deal. Maybe I'll try customer service

Update:
They said no deal. Only for new or >1 mo returning subscribers. Note to self, cancel before Thanksgiving next year

I already have access to Max for a few months at least. Also not much I want to watch on it...no ads on D+ is probably more valuable to me.

I ran into the same problem and I needed to activate the Hulu subscription on Disney+.

Here's what I shared a few days ago in Post #643:

...For those who signed up for the $2.99 bundle deal through Disney+ and are having trouble signing into Hulu, instructions are here:

https://help.disneyplus.com/artic...login-hulu

Activating your Hulu subscription
If you signed up for the Disney Bundle or the Disney+, Hulu, Max Bundle, you'll need to activate your Hulu subscription before you can log in and start watching on the Hulu app. You only need to activate your subscription one time. If you have not activated your Hulu subscription, you will be unable to log in to Hulu.

A link to activate your Hulu subscription will be emailed to you, or you can follow the steps below to activate your Hulu subscription:

Go to DisneyPlus.com on a mobile or web browser
Select your Profile
Select Account from the drop down
Under My Services, select Hulu
You'll be automatically redirected to Hulu to complete your account setup
Enter the email address and password used to access Disney+*
Fill out the remaining fields (name, etc.)
Select Continue to complete the activation process

But, for whatever reason, this hasn't worked for everyone.

Good Luck!
Wow this actually worked thanks so much!

I have read thru this since the start and never seen many responses the few times it's been ask-

Has many folks had to deal with Hulu or D+ giving warnings or any notifications of using either account with a different location than they consider your home account location??

The most I could find google searching it was a reddit thread that said a few but mainly was not getting any notices or warnings.
