For some reason, this took a little bit of work. I've had two previous accounts that I've been canceled, but I wouldn't give me the offer so I had to use an alternate email address and alternate credit card as well to get the offer to work.

The CEO just let slip on an earnings call that Disney makes more profit on the ad-supported version so the ad-free price was increased to drive people to the ad-supported version.

When I try to creat my account and select "agree and continue," it just spins and doesn't allow me to create an account. Is anyone else experiencing this?

Can you use a gift card for payment or does it have to be a credit card?
Edit: what is the total charge for 1 month for Disney+ and Hulu with ads? Is it a flat $2.99 or $2.99+tax?

Fyi if you already had the BF deal from last year you're not eligible for BF this year. But when you go to cancel it, gives you an option to extend for 6 months at $2.99/ month ad supported.

There are no ads for Shogun if you choose the English dubbed version instead of the standard episodes with English subtitles. The dubbed versions count as clips and don't have ads. That should save a lot of ad time over 10 episodes.

Finally got this deal to work for me. It wouldn't let me use my old account from over 12 months ago or with a new account when clicking on the hulu black friday links. With a new account it would let me register and make a password but would get in an infinite loop of crashes when getting to the payment page after clicking on the $2.99 deal.

I ended up googling "Disney plus" instead and going through the $2.99 duo deal that was posted on that site. That worked. When I went back to the hulu website it then registered that I now had an account but then wouldn't let me verify it. It kept going into an infinite loop again. When I went back to the Disney site it let me verify just find.

What a pain in the ass.

Signed up today 12/1 with no issues using the account I cancelled in 2023. Skipped Disney this time because I never used it but added Starz and it's all good for a full year, so cancelled my deal from last year that used a different emall/cc, so no interruption in Hulu at all. It's worth the price (this Black Friday price). Glad they came through finally with this deal. This is the way to do it!

How much does slickdeals get paid for this to always be the first deal on the front page and "new since your last visit"?

Versus the YouTube model of "increase the number and duration of ads to annoy people into paying us a steep fee each month to stop annoying them with the ads." Basically the protection shakedown method.

So I have a free 6 month trial of Disney plus, if I sign up for the $2.99 plan, will I lose the remainder of my 6 month trial?

Just sign-up for hulu for the 99 cents deal. I have signed up and input my cc number. I have been given a $50 hulu gift card, for the life of my, I just can't find where to enter the 16 digit to redeem the gift card for next month's payment. Appreciate any insight . Thank you!

When the ads play the volume is always louder than what you were watching before. It's a dealbreaker for me.
Oh, here's a GREAT TIp:

Ads on Hulu can be skipped on Roku Ultra, if you just catch it before the ads start, and skip through them.

Why I always switch from ATV, to Roku when watching Hulu.
Shows are still too painful, so I don't bother.
