I ordered these last time they hit front page. Run true to size, they are SUPER comfortable, but I can't speak on any hiking or traction talk because I have a bad knee.

When I say comfortable, I put all my other shoes (including my Nike Air's) away after putting these on and haven't looked back.

And when I say a bad knee, I mean it's getting replaced in three weeks bad.

I hiked a 14,000 ft peak. Trail was mostly dry and the shoes worked great. Muddy or snowy spots were just fine too - just needed to step carefully. No slippage. For more snow, you will need studs.

12.5 Wide in a Merrell fits me perfect.
Anyone know how these compare size wise?
I see a fair number of complaints about width not being wide eough
I dont see a size 12.5 so I would have to go straight 12 or 13

I bought these a couple years back from a SD post, I only use them when camping with my son's boyscouts troop.. however, they've been excellent shoes, don't leak, no traction issues and still look like new.

As I stated earlier, these are true to size in my experience. I wear 11 in Nike, Reebok, 5.11 Tactical and Under Armor (that's in their tactical boots, BTW, which is what our department switches back and forth between), Caterpillar boots, my motorcycle boots in various brands, and other Wolverine boots. These fit like a shoe, just a really comfortable one.
