Should have mentioned that it's normally $450, and currently on sale from Nomatic at $315.

Guessing it's so that it fits into overhead compartments as they swing up to close. A rectangular baggage's top edge may stick out too far.

This is 30L capacity, even the small Away luggage is 40L capacity. So either you want a tiny, backpack size, roller luggage like this, or a more standard one like the Away.
For some reason SlickDeals loves to plug this brand, and it's at the point where I don't believe it's authentic. I honestly have never tried them, but I've just noticed something seems off with all these plugs for the brand, buyer beware.

I have this bag and DO not recommend it. It got jacked up the first trip I went on and Nomatic would not replace it.

This is a good review. Shy-ing away from this based on this comment and will wait for a deal with Away.

I bought one and returned it. It is tiny! It's the smallest carry-on I have ever seen.

In regards to the brand i have their wallet and backpack and they are absolutely excellent. The slanted edge of the carryon always threw me off
