Order went through but on the screen then a popup showed up saying they would not ship to my address. Let's see what happens.

Great Deal... Except
You're paying tax on the full value of the phone ($449), so it's $99 after a trade in, but taxed as if it's full price.

Mine jumped from $99 to $143.99 (CA Tax)
California! The tax capital of the world. No surprise to me. Thanks Gavin!

Would be a great deal if it was, in fact, "any phone" trade-in

Yeah, I'm not sure how screaming of a deal this is? Looks a bit cheaper than ebay, unless Samsung's direct refurbs are really high quality with fresh batteries or something.
It is.

Any phone, "any condition?" I have an S3 and S4 but I don't think the battery will last a week. Samsung waits for weeks before they credit for the trade in. I think they are waiting for the phone to stop starting.

It is for "Any Android Phone" or any iPhone.

For an Android phone: Scroll down to "Other" and the only choice is "Other Android Phone". The credit is $350 for any Android phone.
For an iPhone; Choose "Apple" and then scroll down to the bottom and choose "Other iPhone"

I'm not sure what they'd do if you tried to trade in an old Windows phone.

Would appreciate some insight from those that keep up with these deals (and particularly how trade-ins are handled), I have an old iPhone SE 2nd gen that is free of cracks, powers on but recently it just keeps restarting maybe every 3 minutes or so. Would that work for a trade-in or would I be rejected?

This is a bit misleading. These prices are not for "any phone".These stated deals are only if you are trading in a top of the line last years model mobile phone.
You literally can trade in anything if you pick the "other" mfg as an option.

You can find some run down used ones for similar prices for trade-ins, but if you actually want to play with the phone then Samsung recertified is pretty much "like new":
https://www.samsung.com/us/smartp...ed-phones/
  • Brand new battery
  • Guaranteed like new quality
  • Backed by a 1-year warranty
  • 100% genuine Samsung parts
  • latest software updates

Would they take some ancient LG VS450PP that's on Android 4.4 lol?

https://www.devicespecifications....l/c5f42d00

I made an order with my iPhone SE 1 (2016), but now saw the other Android option. I could always resell my SE1 for like $20-30 but this LG isn't worth anything, obviously.
