Great Deal... Except
You're paying tax on the full value of the phone ($449), so it's $99 after a trade in, but taxed as if it's full price.

Mine jumped from $99 to $143.99 (CA Tax)

Caution - They might decline trade in credit and charge back $350 on you (people got burned with this before). That will make a refurbished S21 an absolutely disaster deal.

I will give it a hard pass on this "deal", period.

S21 came with 3 years of Android upgrades. It should get Android 15 before losing support next year. The S22 came with 5 years of Android upgrades, plus 2 additional years of security updates. I'd go with the S22.

To repeat the earlier comments: this comes with a new battery. That is something you won't find from the second-hand websites/M*rketplace.

Granted that only matters if you plan to use the phone. If you're looking for a trade-up device for later sales, then yes it's not that great of deal.

Remember to film your trade in device to avoid a nightmare scenario.

That's just a california thing, it's applicable to anything with a trade in from a car to a phone. Contact your politicians if you don't like it. I moved out of the state instead (for a variety of reasons)

Am I missing something? It looks like the renewed S23 starts at $619 and I don't see where they're offering $350 for "any phone"
I think deal is dead. I see only $150 credit

Nevermind my trade in is cracked so not worth it. Sometimes Samsung gives same credit for cracked so I'm waiting for that..

These are not a bad deal but keep in mind that their memory storage is not expandable with a micro memory card. 128 GB is not that much storage anymore.

S21 and s22 are both terrible. The battery life between TSMC made and Samsung made chips is night and day

Got the S23 for $291 shipped to Texas! I did Chat with an independent product expert and he confirmed you can use any Android Smartphone - see below:

The S22s have bad battery life due to the SOC overheating. I had the S22+ and S22U before. Don't buy them.

I have Motorola G6 but it's not on the list, only G7. Would they accept it?

You do know S21 is worth like $140 to $176 in used refurbished market correct? You aren't really getting $350 for your SE. You are getting $40.
